Todays conversation is a soft one. With 77% of adults consuming Alcohol weekly it has become so normalised in our society many of us don’t even know why we drink, we just do.
For many, drinking begins in adolescence as a means to assert your independence and cool factor to other peers. As an adult alcohol is a way to socialise with other adults. A lot of drinking culture is centred around connecting.
What if you didn’t drink alcohol but remained just as connected. Kath has been sober since the age of 18 and has seen this journey through many forms.
Kath sits down to have a light, fun and helpful conversation about navigating your way through a world that is so alcohol obsessed when you have decided that maybe drinking isn’t for you. Wether it be forever or just for a moment in time.
To help have this conversation they are joined by dear friend Tommy Misa. Tommy is an actor, writer and advocate. With their work often focused on the intersections of lived experience and with common themes of race, class, mental health, addiction and queerness, often using humour as an approach.
