This week we have...
Wait, what? Mike and Bill again? Yessiree bud. It's us, back at it this week, so buckle up.
Mike started off with his reading and it was a classic from God Grant Me. It dealt with fear and action and how we can forget about our fears if we are getting busy. Kind of a great concept and it was a good conversation. Mike also shared a fear that he had this week, which was more than justified.
We jumped into a thing from Demi Moore's book that sparked a memory. We both realized that we have been obsessed with drinking since we were only in single digits and it was an eye opener.
We talked about that guy from The Sober Boyz Podcast being a bad example. The short story is that he is being openly critical of anyone that drinks and that goes against what AA tells us.
Then we talked about a good example, Suzanne from The Sober Mom Podcast. A good human being with a good message.
Finally we chatted about a podcast that sort blew us off and the term brown out.
We wrapped up with a fun fact about Sylvester Stallone.
Enjoy the episode.

It's Mike and Bill again, recording early and apparently breaking copyright laws.
We started off with a story about that. An issue with our last episode (Episode 240) and a possible copyright issue. It was unintentional, but you will hear the story.
Mike did his reading and it was about being open to new things, staying beginners and always ready to learn. It was from Toughstones and although we agreed with most of it there were some points that we pushed back a bit. It was a good conversation.
Then it was a listener comment, Sober October, the 10th Step, The Absolutes, am I a good AA.
We wrapped up poking a little fun at the "boyz" podcast and discussing some common sayings from the recovery rooms.
Enjoy the Episode.

This week we have...
Our guest David had some technical difficulties, and we will have him on in a few weeks. Soooo, it was Mike and Bill to the rescue.
Mike pulled a reading from God Grant Me and it was about taking this sobriety thing for granted. Thinking we have it all figured out and why we don't do that. It was a good conversation.
We had an email from a past guest, we talked about hanging with the winners and we made fun of a podcast that had sad music behind their most recent episode clips. Then we demonstrated what it would sound like if we did that. It was fun.
On to Penn State, character defects, do something nice for someone and how far have we come.
We wrapped up with Mike running out the episode with sad music behind his statements. Again, it was funny.
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
Yep, it's Mike and Bill again. Back at it for another week.
Mike started out with his reading and it was about higher power stuff. We are not the higher power, that's all we need to know. It was a good conversation.
Then we read a press release from our friend Jim O'Connor of The Second Story Foundation and Jim won an award! He will probably be on again in November, but go back and listen to his 2 previous episodes, Episode 204 and Episode 227.
Then it was high priced rehabs, bad guests, a great podcast, sponsoring, a bad podcast and Tony Romo.
We wrapped up with "Just Say No To Drugs."
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
Mike and Bill, because we got ghosted! Our guest didn't show up, but like good little boy scouts, we are always prepared and we did the podcast.
Mike started out with his reading and it was a classic from God Grant Me. It was about responsibility, living with dignity and leading a life by the principles that we were taught. It was a good conversation.
Then we talked about a listener email, Bob Saget, music (good and bad music), Missouri, water cows, The 9th Step and the word sober. Apparently another podcast thinks it's overused.
We wrapped up with some sexual harassment training.
Enjoy the episode.

A recap of our weekend in Austin, Texas, where we won the award for
"Best Podcast" at the Sans Bar Academy Awards!
Our sister Kathy joins us for the discussion and we had a lot to talk about.
There may be a technical issue at the end of the episode, but if so, it's only for the last 5 minutes or so.
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
Mike and Bill recording on an early night because it's The Sans Bar Academy Awards Week!
Mike started off with his reading from As Bill Sees It, and it was about when the chips are down, we are all alike. It was a good reading and a great conversation.
Then it was Mike's radio gig, Katey Sagal, Matthew Perry, the Texas Trip, sober anniversaries, political texts, am I a friend and Step 11.
We wrapped up with a lawsuit against Meta, mindless people and their underdeveloped brains.
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
More and more from Mike and Bill.
Mike started out with his reading, it was from As Bill Sees It again and it was a letter that Bill Wilson wrote in 1966. It had what seemed like a weird view of this thing that we do, but we had a good conversation about it.
Then we talked about Mike's radio gig, an Airbnb issue, a trip to Nashville, our upcoming trip to Austin for the Sans Bar Academy Awards, a sobriety podcast and being open minded.
We wrapped up with an ad campaign that has made a come back from 90's. It asks the fun question, "Is it in you?"
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
Award nominated hosts, Mike and Bill! Well, the podcast was nominated, so...
Mike started out with his reading and it was about getting moving. If you have an issue, or a problem, do something. There is power in getting busy and we had a good conversation about it.
Then it was Joey Pants, Jim Norton, Brad Pitt, everyone is exhausted, gutting it out, the stool portion of the program, the little things, places to avoid and being satisfied with where we are.
We wrapped up with Scott Baio on Arrested Development. Bob Loblaw. (go ahead, say it out loud)
Enjoy the episode.

This week we have...
Mike and Bill again? Yep Same old guys, different week.
Mike started out with his reading and it was a short one, but it packed a punch. It was about rolling with the punches and how we do that a lot better these days with the help of sobriety and a solid program. It was a good reading and a good conversation.
Then it was some emails, modern miracles, shout out to a podcast, looking at the past, what lives on, do good things, Joey Pants, a grandson weekend, a rained out baseball game and Nice Beaver.
We wrapped up with a dating app story.
Enjoy the episode.
