This one is a "Don't miss this!" episode. Jennette Booth is a talented musician, song-writer, music teacher, and mama of 9. Her family faced an unfathomable trial when one of her children was sexually abused. There are no details of any kind around the abuse in this episode, but what you will find are practical tips for how to increase your child's safety, humor, hope, resources for those facing the same type of crisis and ideas for how we as community members can better love on those around us who are walking through painful, life-altering experiences.
About Jennette:
Born in Utah, I grew up in Springville, Red Devil class of '95. When I was 4 years old, my parents were gifted two broken piano.which my dad combined to make one working piano. This ignited my love of music, led to my learning several other instruments and earning a degree in vocal performance from Utah State University. I am now a composer, performer, and music teacher. I've won awards in both community and LDS music competitions. After my family was impacted by child sexual abuse, I founded the nonprofit "Body Safety Songs" to help spare other families what mine went through. I served as Mrs Rocky Mountain during 2023, and placed 3rd in the Mrs Utah Pageant in an effort a to share the platform of "Lift Your Voice to Lower The Risk." I live with and love to sing with, my husband of 22 years and our nine children in Taylorsville, Utah.
