• Beverley Allitt   exhibited symptoms of both Munchausen's syndrome and Munchausen's syndrome by Proxy 
•  which are both characterized by getting attention through illness. 
•   With Munchausen's syndrome, physical or psychological symptoms are either self-induced or feigned in oneself to gain attention,
•  while Munchausen's by Proxy involves inflicting injury on others to gain attention for oneself.
• Beverly Allitt was convicted on May 23, 1993, and given 13 life sentences for murder and attempted murder

• This week Kim is covering an American convicted murderer and body snatcher.
• Ed received widespread attention in 1957 after Cops discovered he had exhumed corpses from local graveyards and made trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin. 
• Gein also confessed to killing two women: 
• tavern owner Mary Hogan in 1954 and hardware store owner Bernice Worden in 1957.
• Gein was initially found unfit to stand trial and confined to a mental health facility. By 1968, he was judged competent to stand trial; 
• he was found guilty of the murder of Worden, 
• but he was found legally insane and was remanded to a psychiatric institution.
•  He died at Mendota Mental Health Institute of respiratory failure, on July 26, 1984, aged 77.
•  He is buried next to his family in the Plainfield Cemetery, in a now-unmarked grave. 
• This guy had a difficult childhood and grew up to be totally depraved.
• Definitely Mummy issues and a whole lot more to go along with that.

• This week the Steph is covering the  terrible murders in a small town in NSW, known as the Bowraville murders.
• This story is about three aboriginal children that went missing over a 5 month period.
• Two of their bodies were found with headwounds and the Third, was never found.
• ·       The first victim, was 16-year-old Colleen Walker Craig 
  ·       She was last seen alive on 13 September 1990,     
  ·     articles of her clothing were later found weighed down by rocks in the Nambucca River.
  ·       On 4 October 1990, Walker's cousin, four-year-old Evelyn Greenup, disappeared after a party at her grandmother's house.
  ·        She was last seen by her mother as she was put to bed sometime during the night, but was gone by next morning.·       
  ·       On 27 April 1991, Greenup's skeletal remains were found in bushland near Congarinni Road.
  ·       On 31 January 1991, 
  ·       16-year-old Clinton Speedy-Duroux went missing after a party at The Mission.
  ·        He was last known to have stayed with his girlfriend in a yellow Viscount caravan used by the suspect on the morning of 1 February
• The suspect, known as the King on the mission has been tried and acquitted.
•  and the community are still fighting to have him retried.

• this  is a sad story about a child that has been terribly abused. 
• This episode is not overly graphic, however there is a trigger warning as the storyline is pretty awful.
• The "Boy in the Box" is the name given to an unidentified murder victim,
•  a 4-to 6-year-old boy, whose naked, battered body was found in a bassinet box in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 25, 1957.
•  He is also commonly called "America's Unknown Child." 
• His identity has never been discovered, and the case remains open.
• There are many theories about what happened to this little boy and Kim presents them in this episode.
• Police believe that there are still witnesses out there who can identify him, so if you know anything, please come forward.
• Investigators have now gained a DNA profile on the boy and hope to use this to identify him in the future.

• Shanda Renee Sharer (June 6, 1979 – January 11, 1992)
• Was an American girl who was tortured and burned to death in Madison, Indiana by four teenage girls.
•  She was 12 years old at the time of her death. 
• The incident attracted international attention due to both the brutality of the murder and the young age of the perpetrators, who were aged between 15 and 17 years old. 
• The case was covered on national news and talk programs and has inspired a number of episodes on fictional crime shows.
• This tale just shows how one person can manipulate a group into total submission and get them to perpetrate the most heinous and unthinkable crimes.
• The age of the victim is chilling as is the age of the perpetrators of this horrific crime.

• Amy Archer Gilligan systematically murdered a huge number of aged and infirmed elderly men and women, while running a business of death.
• She posed as a kind lady who cared for those in need
• fed them nutritious and yummy concoctions and meals
• spiced up their food with arsenic and other poisons
• and murdered at least 60 people in a short time frame
• She would charge a flat out fee and promised to feed and house you till your last breath, at least she was true to her word
