  • Colleen Slemmer, Brutal Murder

This week Kim is discussing, the brutal murder and torture of Colleen Slemmer, a young lady who was attending Job Corps, to better herself.
she was lured to an old steam mill, that was secluded and a place that her fruitless screams would not be heard.

Colleen was brutally slashed, stabbed and mutilated before having her throat cut many times, to be followed by a viscous attack with a piece of bitumen, that was repeatedly slammed onto her head.

Colleen suffered an hour of horror before she passed away at the hands of the three offenders, justice was served in some sense with the main perpetrator being sentenced to death, this however has not occurred.

Please have a listen to this horrific story, and please let us know if our audio has improved as we have upgraded our entire plethora of equipment.

  • Anita Cobby, the crime that shocked a Nation.

this week we cover the story of Anita Cobby, who on February 2, 1986,

Was walking home from Blacktown train station. when 5 men grabbed her and dragged her into a car, that they had stolen previously.
a young brother and sister witnessed the crime but were unable to help.
Anita's brutally beaten and horrifically sexually assaulted body was found by a farmer only 2 days later, he of course called the police and the search began.
The prime suspect was her recently estranged husband, but he was desperately in love with her and he would never hurt her. eventually the 5 men were charged with her murder, and there was some great police work and an incredible lady known as Miss X who helped to solve the case. all 5 of the perpetrators are found guilty of the crimes and sentenced to life in prison and their files were stamped never to be released.

  • The Miranda Murders

    The Miranda Murders

    • Leonard Thomas Lake (October 29, 1945 – June 6, 1985), was an American serial killer.
    • During the mid-1980s, he and accomplice Charles Ng raped, tortured and murdered an estimated eleven to 25 victims at a remote cabin in Calaveras County, California,
    • In the Sierra Nevada foothills 150 miles east of San Francisco.
    •  After his arrest in 1985 on illegal weapons, auto theft, and fraud charges, Lake swallowed cyanide pills that he had sewn into his clothing, and died four days later.
    •  Human remains, videotapes, and journals found at the cabin later confirmed Ng's involvement, and were used to convict Ng on eleven counts of capital murder
    • Ng was convicted and fought a long court case, eventually being sentences to death, he is still on  death row.
    • there are many videos of the horror that these two monsters perpetrated.

  • The Cleveland Torso Murderer (also known as the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run
    • September 1934,
    • The lower half of a woman's torso, with her thighs attached, was found amputated at the knees,
    • She was washed up on the shores of Lake Erie just east of Bratenahl.
    • she had some sort of chemical preservative on her skin which had turned it red, tough and leathery.
    • She was named the Lady of the Lake, and also dubbed victim 0, as she was added to the body count at a later date.
    • Over the next few years decapitated and dismembered bodies were found in various forms all around Cleveland.
    • body parts in bags, boxes, and baskets, and other random packaging were turning up everywhere, heads and torso’s littered the landscape.
    • In all the Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run is said to have killed 13 victims, including the lady of the lake.
    • I believe this number to be far greater, and believe that the Lady of the Lake was not his first victim.
    • Kim and I discuss many aspects and have a stab at profiling this vicious killer,  who was never  brought to justice.
    • The Mad butcher is an intriguing case that I hope is some day solved.
