Initiates! Before you get stuck into this episode, we have a special announcement.

After nearly 3 years of making the podcast, we stumbled upon a format that fulfills much of what we wanted to do with the podcast. Within days of recording the "This Is Fine" episode, it became clear to both of us that this had everything SDCIC was about. This episode gave us the opportunity to debunk conspiracy theories and counter disinformation on a play by play basis. It gave us a chance to share our unique perspectives and personal experiences at times. And of course, the privilege to roast the nuttiest of these cultists.

So we're going to continue making this series as the bulk of the show for now.. but don't worry!

We will still make deep dives! (We have already recorded a 10 part series on Ancient Aliens - and written the next series)

    We will still have interviews!

We will still do Movie Night with Greg!

We still love mixing up the format here! So in order for us all to distinguish between the different formats, this new series will be titled "The World According To Some"... shorthand: TWATS.

Thanks for your support! If you have any questions, never hesitate to comment or contact us!

    Enjoy!

Today we are looking back to the events from 20th to the 27th of January 2025. *AD FREE EPISODES ARE AVAILABLE AT https://www.patreon.com/somedarecallitconspiracy FOR JUST $2 PER MONTH - JOIN US AND SUPPORT THE PODCAST*

Some Dare Call It Conspiracy is an award-winning podcast that examines conspiracy theories, misinformation, and moral panics — not from the outside, but from the inside.

The show is co-created and hosted by Brent Lee and Neil Sanders, both former insiders in the conspiracy world who spent years immersed in conspiracy belief, alternative media, and grassroots activism before walking away. Their experience gives them first-hand insight into how conspiracy narratives are built, why they feel so convincing, and why leaving those communities can be difficult.

Drawing on lived experience, deep research, and expert interviews — alongside a distinctly British sense of humour — the podcast breaks down conspiracy culture with clarity and bite. Episodes vary in format, but all focus on who benefits when misinformation spreads, how harm is done, and how bad ideas gain influence.

The result is a show that is sceptical without being smug, serious about real-world consequences without losing its edge, and unafraid to call out grift and power where it thrives.

    Hypocritical Mourning

: Wootton's performative mourning of Queen Elizabeth II’s death gets a sardonic look.

    Patriotism and Extremism

: Neil critiques Ben Walker's radical political views and the uneasy position of figures like Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson within UKIP.

    Operation Scatter

: Insight into the narratives around UK immigration policies and Wootton's divisive rhetoric.

    Media and Bias

: Unpacked the sensationalist narratives propagated by right-wing media figures and their effect on public discourse.

    On Air Dramas

: Hear about the Ofcom condemnations that led to Wootton’s firing and the insane rumors he tried to spread about political figures.

Neil treats us to another hilariously scathing monologue, reflecting on the indefatigable absurdity of certain media personalities. Expect lots of laughs, truth bombs, and eye-rolling moments as he dissects the now-infamous career decisions and media antics of Dan Wootton.

In this follow-up episode, we focus on the latest developments concerning Richard D. Hall, a prominent figure in the conspiracy theory community.
