The annual Australian Songwriters Conference® has been established to focus specifically and exclusively on the craft and business of songwriting. A unique four day event in Australia, held on the June long weekend (Queens Birthday long weekend) at Ettalong Beach on the Central Coast of NSW, the inaugural ASC took place in 2008 with subsequent ASC events taking place in 2009 and 2010.

The Australian Songwriters Conference encompasses top, high profile, professional Songwriters, Publishers and industry executives.  The primary and fundamental mission behind the ASC is to be recognised as Australia’s annual, major premier songwriting conference offering songwriters unparalleled opportunities to increase their exposure, value and potential for success as songwriters both in the domestic and international markets.

Australian Country singer songwriter JD Reynolds inspired by her amazing mother for her singing and songwriting with Dolly Parton, Elvis, Micheal Jackson, Prince and heaps of amazing artist on repeat in the house. She was scouted at a young age to be a professional ballet dancer but when she was a teenager had an over night growth spurt and was too tall to dance anymore professionally, she became a model and realised quickly that music was the thing she was born to do, "It was a gift from God" says JD in the podcast. 

She new she wanted to be a songwriter from a very young age and finds the songs come to her in a very spiritual way. She started off as a dancer and before dancing she would clam her nerves by singing backstage. Thats when she started realising that singing was what she loved and when she started realising she wanted to be an artist.

Mimoza is Albanian, she was born in Kosovo, just like Dua Lipa and Rita Ora, and at a very young age because of the war in the late nineties, in Kosovo, her parents moved to where she grew up in Sweden and Germany and then a few years ago, she moved to the US to pursue her career.

She was coached at a young age that the whole music industry is based around the quality of the song and so she worked on her craft and wrote songs for other people and had hits all over the world and landed her first publishing deal at 17 years old.

Had an amazing chat with Avatari and talked about how he was influenced by his dad who was in music too and got to go to shows with Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones and Janet Jackson as a kid. We talked about the 80's inspired music video he produced with a team of people in LA and how it all came about, it has nods to Karate Kid, Back to the future and others, check out the video on his YouTube to see if you can spot all the different 80's shows they visually reference. His instagram videos drew us in, he's hilarious with a passion for film, acting and music he's a triple threat and so glad to share his music and talent on Songwriter Trysts.

These talented Tasmanian brothers Tom and Nick Wolfe have been brought up with grass roots and show off, what could be the antioxidant power of the berry farm they grew up on, an amazing display of home family values, passion, determination and love. Their music is inspired by names that we all know and love and some others and we discuss in this podcast their methods, some of the challenges they had getting onto the main land and how after being on the "Australia Got Talent" landed their dream of touring with Lee Kernaghan. Now touring nationally and have live shows all over Australia, after our chat I went to their live show in Gold Coast and it was well worth the trip.

He's done just about every job in the place around there.  His people are the Larrakia people from Darwin (NT) with connections to Wyndham  (WA).
