  • Being Present in the Moment
In this episode Sally talks about time and how it can sometimes appear to pass incredibly quickly and on other occasions crawl by like lazy snail.
She uses the metaphor of watching her children grow up as a way of realising that time is passing, and she has not really paid attention. She wonders what she did with the time. Did she really use it and honour it? Or did she squander it?
Ultimately she proposes that time could be infinitely bendy and flexible, and that if we could stay truly in the present we could live in a magical world where time stood still, and we would never have to worry about not having enough time.
Why not spend some time with Sally now, listen in and see what you think of her idea?

  • What Women Know. Express yourself.
Sally has created a series of interviews with women called “What Women Know”. Her aim was to create a space in which women shared their wisdom for the benefit of others. She asked different women if they would like a chat over a cup of tea, set up a zoom call and the recordings here show what happens when women get together.
As part of the What Women Know series of podcasts Sally talks to Claudia Milardo a Swiss coach and expert in the power of the mature feminine energy. Sally and Claudia talk about what it means to know and express your feminine energy. Claudia talks about her journey towards her feminine as being like a never-ending song.
We come up with a road map and decide that important steps towards an honest and clear expression of the feminine are being aware of your own needs and desire, being able to express them clearly and setting boundaries.
If you ever wondered what women’s wisdom sounds like, listen on to hear it unfold as we talk.

In this episode we touch on what it means to be a family. My guest Beverly talks about how she coped as a mother when everyone around her thought she was a bad mother and how she rebuilt her family again after a seismic rift occurred.

This interview is something that many mothers will resonate with. If you have doubted yourself as a mother, been affected by what others have said about you, listen on to hear about Beverly’s experiences and how she healed herself and how her family learnt to reunite again.

  • Afraid of the Dark.
Are you afraid of something, but don’t quite know what it is? Or are you clear what your fear is and how you handle it? Why not listen further to find out how Sally handles her fear of the dark?
In this episode Sally talks about being scared of the dark. She had never really understood why, as it seemed stupid as an adult to be scared of the dark – it seemed that only children should have that fear.
Here Sally talks about her physical fear of the dark and finds the irony in being able to plumb the murky depths of her psychological dark spaces to uncover hidden insights, whilst being unable to sleep in the pitch-black dark.
Ultimately, the lesson for Sally is in finding ways to use her own life stories and experiences to shed even more light on her personal process and to uncover more and more of herself along the way.

  • What Women Know. Imagine........
Sally has created a series of interviews with women called “What Women Know”. Her aim was to create a space in which women shared their wisdom for the benefit of others. She asked different women if they would like a chat over a cup of tea, set up a zoom call and the recordings here show what happens when women get together.
As part of the What Women Know series of podcasts Sally talks to Vanessa Jane Smith a native of New Zealand, who has a strong visual take on the world and amazing insights into how we could create a new and better future together.
I called this episode “Imagine” because this is the invitation from Vanessa Jane. How can we imagine a different way of being together, of being in community, running schools, being parents? What ever it might be – dare we imagine something else, something better and more harmonious with our true selves and nature?
Over a cup of tea and lots of laughing, together we imagine a world of connection, harmony, and peace - one where space is available for us to create, communicate and be our best selves.
Listen on to hear more, imagine more and maybe be inspired to be more.

  • What Women Know. The power of Matriarchy.
Sally has created a series of interviews with women called “What Women Know”. Her aim was to create a space in which women shared their wisdom for the benefit of others. She asked different women if they would like a chat over a cup of tea, set up a zoom call and the recordings here show what happens when women get together.
The original idea for the What Women Know podcasts came about as I talked to my cousin about our nan. In sharing stories and reminiscing we discovered that we had both been profoundly impacted by her presence in our lives. We thought that there must be other women who also had stories to share, so the idea came to life. I love that this series of podcasts was born from the wisdom of my Maudie, my nan, inspiration to many.
Today I talk to my cousin about our nan, a woman of strength and resilience who showed both of us how to be women and to stand up for what we believe. There is a lot of laughter in this episode as we re-live shared history and sad sadness as we honour a woman who followed her convictions, but who is no longer with us.

  • How to Listen with Empathy
This episode is based on an experience Sally had with her daughter years ago. You will hear her recount a story that is based on a packet of crisps. As mundane as this may sound Sally uses the experience to show how important it is to listen and to ask questions, rather than assume you know the answers.
Sally talks about deep listening, listening with empathy and dropping your own questions so you can really hear what someone else may be saying or asking for. She talks about listening to her daughter, and how when she listened further than the initial situation she found out important things she had not known before and how in doing this she learnt to build bridges of trust and communication.
She continued to listen to her children, and today as they are about to fly the nest they still all know the importance of stopping, asking a question and listening to what the other says.
Listen on if you want to find out about how to listen with empathy.
