Make it a ritual and make it fun. Meditation is about contemplation and focusing the mind on one thing. Learning to let the thoughts flow by without engaging with any one of them and come back to the present. You don't have to be in the Himalayas to meditate. Bringing your attention to your breath, your body, and devotion to something greater than yourself is a great way to practice.
