For most people, the fall and winter months are a joyous time of year filled with cooler weather, comfy sweaters, beautiful autumn leaves, snuggles by the fire place, and just all around holiday cheer. But... for others the fall and winter months often trigger unpleasant emotion, withdrawn behavior, a lack of motivation, and other depressive symptoms. In fact, this type of depression is called Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as seasonal depression. Join me and our guest co-host, Marjorie Brown, the Assistant Director of Embrace Counseling and Wellness, as we briefly discuss seasonal depression and ways to cope and manage the symptoms.
If you are triggered by this discussion of seasonal depression, please consider not listening to this episode or listening with a loved one who can support you.
