Welcome to Episode 11 of the Soulful Practices Podcast! Join Michelle Holling-Brooks as she explores discovering joy in the face of hardship.
This week, Michelle builds a Healing Practice around a quote by Desmond Tutu: “Discovering more joy does not, I’m sorry to say…save us from the inevitability of hardship and heartbreak. In fact, we may cry more easily, but we will laugh more easily, too. Perhaps we are just more alive.”
In this episode, Michelle shares:
Setting the Intention: Become aware of when you’re withholding or blocking yourself from engaging fully with your life.
Guiding Your Attention: See when you’re stuck in self-judgment, life judgment, and withdrawing from leaning into your Soul Being and opening to support.
Pausing to Soften: Look inward during moments of awareness to illuminate parts of yourself lost in protective stories.
Flowing to Inner Compassion: Tend to wounded parts to release protective spells and open to living, loving, and leading your authentic life.
Asking, "How can I best embody my true self right now?" Listen and align your actions with your inner guidance.

Welcome to Episode 10 of the Soulful Practices Podcast! Join Michelle Holling-Brooks as she guides you from fear to freedom.
This week, Michelle builds a Healing Practice around a powerful quote by Spencer Johnson: “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” She invites you to join her in a practice that liberates your true choice and brings more freedom to your daily life.
In this episode, Michelle shares:
Setting the Intention: Allow yourself to move into committed action with the different choices a part of you might be afraid to take.
Guiding Your Attention: See the choices and opportunities available to you right now that match your Soul’s guidance. Recognize when protective fears cause you to stall out on actions that match your guidance. Illuminate the “cost” to your system when fears separate you from making choices that match your Heart’s and Soul’s inspiration.
Pausing to Soften: Look inward during moments of awareness to illuminate parts of yourself lost in protective stories and see the parts of you ready to take correct action.
Flowing to Inner Compassion: Tend to wounded parts so they can release their protective spell, open to believing in yourself, and move into actions that match your true intentions.
Asking, "How can I best embody my true self right now?" Listen and align your actions with your inner guidance.

In this episode, Michelle shares:
Setting the Intention: Notice when old habits, fears, and outside judgments have more authority over your actions than your Heart and Soul’s guidance.
Guiding Your Attention: Become aware of moments where protective fears are cutting you off from embodying your personal values, being willing to course correct when out of alignment, and overcoming shame or blame that hinders your true self.
Pausing to Soften: Look inward during moments of awareness to illuminate parts of yourself lost in protective stories.
Flowing to Inner Compassion: Tend to wounded parts so they can release their protective spell, open to trusting yourself, and access greater inner faith to match your actions with your true intentions.

This week, Michelle builds a Healing Practice around cultivating greater inner compassion, courage, and freedom. She invites you to believe that your amazing, beautiful self is always present, no matter what experiences you have been through.
In this episode, Michelle shares:
Setting the Intention: Notice when past stories change your self-perspective and cause you to abandon your self-worth and the choices you can make.
Guiding Your Attention: Become aware of moments where wounded parts of yourself are cutting you off from remembering your wholeness, believing in your ability to go beyond just surviving, and recognizing where past experiences are robbing you of making present-time choices.
Pausing to Soften: Look inward during moments of awareness to illuminate the parts of you lost in protective stories.
Flowing to Inner Compassion: Tend to wounded parts so they can release their protective spell of separation, allowing you to access greater freedom to grow and expand.
