We’re back with another NEW 2021 Christmas Special!  This is Volume 7 of our series of Christmas Special shows featuring the greatest Christmas music you may not have heard in a while and a Great Gildersleeve Christmas show too. We started our Christmas Sounds Like Radio shows in 2020 with Volumes 1 thru 5 (we keep them available on this podcast to you all year long for those who like Christmas music even when it’s not Christmas time).

This year we’ve presented Volume 6 and now here’s Volume 7! This is the Great Gildersleeve episode we had to skip a couple months ago since this is a Christmas show from December 21, 1949 when Marjorie & Bronco have a very special announcement and Gildy has a very touching gift for Marjorie. This is one of the best written episodes of the Gildy series.

This is the main reason we present the Great Gildersleeve each week, it was such a quality written show, amusing and at times quite touching and emotional. This episode is an example.

From Volume 71 of the Vast Library of Sound comes a really nice Christmas story as told to you by none other than Boris Karloff!  

But this is NOT the Grinch story, no sir, today Boris is going to tell us all about The Year Without A Santa Claus!  Not many people are even aware that Boris also told this Christmas story too.  And told like no one else can, listen to this wonderful story teller and gather the kids for this one, it’s for all the family.  Your Humble Host hopes this adds to the wonders of Christmas joy just a bit more.

In Volume 69 from the Vast Library of Sound Christmas Editions it’s time Jack Benny to go Christmas shopping for shoelaces for his announcer, Don Wilson. Originally broadcast December 8, 1946 listen to the first of the many Christmas shopping shows Jack would do every year.

On Volume 61 Sounds Like Radio’s Library of Sound has a very special early Christmas present for you. Hear now the radio version of Bing’s classic movie “Holiday Inn”!!
