Shawn Christy, a national fugitive, was apprehended on a rainy Friday afternoon in September of 2018 after a search by the US Marshals, state and local law enforcement. The then 26-year-old Pennsylvania man was found hiding in a Madison Township ravine, after an intense five-day manhunt across Richland County, and a three-month chase across the northeastern part of the United States and Canada.

Jacob Grove has witnessed first-hand the excitement and passion students have for their career technical education courses.

Now, he wants to continue building the program at Madison Comprehensive High School. Grove was recently approved by the school board to take on a new role next fall as career tech director. He currently serves as assistant principal.

Yesterday, Governor Mike DeWine came to Mansfield to announce $4 million in state funds for the demolition and remediation of former local Westinghouse sites.

Richland County commissioner, Tony Vero, thanked the Governor on behalf of Richland County for helping the Land Bank bring these 14 acres back to life. Vero himself helped spearhead an effort that began in August 2021.
