When we bless the cup at the Lord’s table, aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ? And when we break the bread, aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:16-18
And though we are many, we all eat from on e loaf of bread, showing we are one body. Think about the people of Israel. Weren’t they united by eating the sacrifices at the altar? 1 Cor 10:16-18
Not spectator –PARTICIPANT
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread we break a participation in the body of Christ?
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf. I Corinthians 10:16-18
“Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.” 1 Corinthians 11:28
