In this season of extremes, we need to give ourselves time and space to lament ... to enter the quiet and wait for hope to appear.
The practice of SPACE over the long haul could be the difference maker.
Isaiah 41:10
I've picked you. I haven't dropped you. Don't panic. I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.
Thin place moments are those moments when heaven and earth collide. So often that happens in the midst of extreme struggle. But these moments can also be when we see God most clearly.
We've never needed a harbor more than we do today.
Psalm 62:5-8
God, the one and only— I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I’m set for life.
My help and glory are in God—granite-strength and safe-harbor-God—So trust him absolutely, people; lay your lives on the line for him. God is a safe place to be.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit."
