In the second hour, Matt Spiegel was joined by former MLB pitcher Marvin Freeman to discuss his love of baseball and how it grew and developed in Chicago. Freeman also discussed what he teaches young kids about pitching and how they can be successful if they make it to the MLB level. Spiegel then discussed what the Cubs and White Sox are looking for ahead of the trade deadline Monday afternoon. Later, he reacted to a trade that went down while he was live on the air, as the Cubs acquired first baseman/outfielder Jose Martinez from the Rays.
