We all know how the  comfort zone is a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. Inside the comfort zone, we each know how people don’t typically engage in new experiences or take on any challenges. They only participate in activities that are familiar, making them feel “in control” of their environment. We talk about how important it is to state that like most behavioral change attempts, moving into the growth zone becomes harder without some level of self-awareness. We need to pass from one 'zone' to the next until we reach GROWTH. 

In this episode, we break down REASONS to leave the comfort zone, HOW to go from the comfort zone to the GROWTH zone, AND the benefits in leaving the comfort zone.

Leading by example is often defined as behaving in a way that shows others how to behave. To put it another way, what you do rather than what you say is used as a guide for others.  We all know that old saying: “actions speak louder than words.” And when it comes to leadership, this couldn’t be more true. We define a leader as someone who sets the tone for those around them, and their actions will always speak louder than their words.

In this episode, we break down defining what it means to lead by example, the benefit in regards to being a good leader, and how to avoid any common mistakes when we lead by example. So I challenge you to ask yourself: How do YOU lead by example?

Can you believe it is already February?!  I wanted to take this time to reflect back on a previous episode regarding Gratitude. Can we name a time when we state how grateful we are or how someone recognizes the gratitude we return to them? Here we look into the 3 stages of Gratitude: Recognition, Acknowledgement, Appreciation.  In this short episode, we dive into these three stages and how we can experience each stage and benefit from its rewards.

Have you sat yourself down at some point and randomly thought, "Why do I do this?" Pondering about what your WHY is in life is something that we do not normalize for ourselves. Your why is your purpose in life. It is that DRIVING FORCE that keeps you going when times get hard and keeps you on your toes when things are going well. 

We each have a different WHY. I wanted to pop on and explain that part particularly since we all walk in different seasons in life. There are several commonalities for each WHY. This includes love, security, family, etc.

So I challenge you to ask yourself: WHAT IS YOUR WHY? Your why might be obtaining financial independence. Or finding a job that enables you to travel the world. OR it could even be seeking meaningful relationships or pursuing your personal ambitions. Perhaps it’s looking at life in a different perspective. No matter what it is, it can serve as your central force to guide and help you make those decisions that can take your mind and YOURSELF to accomplish what YOU want to do.

As we reach the end of January 2023, I wanted to take this time to reflect back on what we have gone through so far and use this episode as a way for us to RESET, RESTART, and REFOCUS. A lot of us have gotten used to the mundane of being "on-the-go" almost all of the time where we tend to forget to take a step back to recharge for the upcoming events and whatnot. Turn up the volume if you need to slow down in the mundane because this is FOR YOU. Today we talk about FOCUSING, RESETTING and REMINDING yourself of YOUR JOURNEY. Get comfy on this one because we are taking this at a WHOLE NEW level together but to also make sure we get comfortable with each other in this journey! 

This episode helps you to take a step back and to slow down in this "on-the-go" routine a lot of us live by.

What happens when you are hesitant in making a decision? You pause and second guess and ask yourself all the questions, right? "Is this right for me?" "Do I have time for this?" "Am I going to get the support from my inner circle?" You name it! What if you tossed all of that aside and instead CHANGED YOUR MINDSET and tell yourself, "I AM and WILL do this thing!" and "If _____ does not support, that is okay!" When was the last time we CALLED OUR SHOT in doing what we FEEL. Whether it be traditional or non-traditional, in the family line or talked amongst peers, OR an inner argument with YOURSELF. She believes anything is possible as long as you put you mind to it and put the time and effort to get to your goals. Dolores opens up about her experiences and how she took the noise and negative nellies around her and decided to instead turn it into something impactful. She shares with us how she didn't let her lack of knowledge stop her from starting something she was excited about. Instead, she encouraged herself and also loves encouraging others to embrace what is around her and BELIEVE that she could and just GO FOR IT!
