Spirit Airlines is pushing back against calls for a government bailout, saying it plans to exit bankruptcy restructuring without federal help, according to AP News. The ultra‑low‑cost carrier says its financial troubles stem from rising costs and failed mergers, as lawmakers debate whether struggling airlines should receive taxpayer support.  

Police made multiple arrests and recovered dozens of ATVs and dirt bikes after stopping an attempted Bay Bridge takeover, according to ABC7 News.
