Are you intentional with your relationships? Are you intentional with your daily habits, or continual growth? We often hear the phrase “be intentional”. Whether it's with the people we hang out with, what we consume, or how we spend our time alone.

But what does intentional living look like? What does it mean to live with intention and purpose? How do we operate out of being present and known? With all the chaos and distractions of the external world, how do we fully sit with and internalize purposeful living?

These are a few of the questions that I am asking myself this week, and I want to invite you on this journey alongside me. I want us to discover what means to live with and fully embrace intentionality in our lives and how we can extend that beyond ourselves.

There are days where you are out there freaking KILLING it in life. Your physical health is on point, you start your mornings with intention, you show up in all of your relationships, you hit every single task on your to-do list and you feel 100% your best self.

And then there are days where you feel depleted. You feel as though you have no creative spark left, you sit at your desk and stare at your computer screen for hours on end and you feel empty, drained, & feel as though you have nothing to show for yourself.

For some people, this is called Writer’s Block.

For others, this is called Analysis Paralysis.

But no matter what you call it, no matter which way you spin it, it all stems from the same obstacle. I call this a Creative Funk. And if you have been feeling stuck in your creative endeavors, then this may just be the best Lead Magnet of all.

Are you living in your alignment? Because if you are feeling a sudden sense of overwhelm, anxiety, stress, or tension, then there may be areas in your life that need tending to.

Recently, I’ve been experiencing heaviness in my soul and needed to find the culprit. After a bit of prayer and self-reflection, I started seeing old patterns beginning to manifest in my mental space. I began to recognize that these old patterns were a byproduct of not living in my alignment. These old patterns were a byproduct of not owning my truth. The heaviness that I was feeling was from playing small and not stepping into my potential.

However, once I started to release these old thought patterns and really pay attention to the deeper-rooted truths, I started to feel content and at peace. I started to feel my soul replenishing. If this sounds like you, then it’s time to break away from these old patterns. It's time to step into your most full, truest self.

Do Spiritual Practices Set the Stage for Success?

While Spirituality definitely helps advance us to the next level in our lives, Spiritual Practices don’t automatically bring you all the riches, fame, and status that many of us hope for.

However, what implementing Spiritual Practices do provide for us is a strong feeling of fulfillment. While riches, fame, and status can definitely be used as tools to advance us to where we want to be in life, they are not the end-goal. Why? Because Spiritual Practices set the stage for self-growth, maturation, and true connection.

I believe that we are all on a Spiritual Journey. With that, I also believe that we are all searching for meaning and truth in our lives. Hello, Autumn!

Today, we are celebrating the first day of Fall! This is honestly my favorite season of the year and I am so excited to step into this new season. Get ready for all the Pumpkin Spice Lattes and everything that is Spooky Szn!

Being that today is the first day of Fall, I am sharing a few updates and changes coming to Spirituality Untamed in the upcoming weeks. I also share a couple of life updates and why I am choosing to walk in Hope & Gratitude for this last quarter of 2020.

Oftentimes we blur the line between what is “uncomfortable” and “awkward” versus “toxic” and “hostile”. But discomfort and toxicity aren’t synonymous. We can find discomfort in situations that grow us. However, traumatic experiences confine us into small boxes that stunt our growth.

Recently, I felt God tug at my Spirit to dive into what discomfort and trauma can teach us about growth. In this episode, I explore how being uncomfortable can be a healthy thing for our continual growth. However, I also show the importance of recognizing how toxic situations can lead to trauma and trigger responses. But, this is such an important topic and I believe that in order to become better versions of ourselves, we must dig in a little deeper, even if it’s a little “uncomfortable”.

Can we go ahead and break the stigma behind seeking therapy? You’re not weak for needing medical, professional health. Taking care of your spirituality AND mental well being is taking ownership of your mental health. Owning your struggles and recognizing areas of weakness is only the beginning. In order to truly become better versions of ourselves, we need to take action. We need to take action in strengthening your mental health is an incredible act of bravery. 

This week, I am breaking down the stigmas behind seeking therapy as Christians. I'm sharing what it means to take care of your mental health. A year ago, I sought out therapy in order to strengthen the areas in my life. There were areas that I either wasn’t aware of. And there were also things that I didn’t want to even admit to myself. There is no shame in seeking medical help. And honestly, everyone could use a little therapy at some point in their lives.
