Joe Pott fills in for Matt Pauley in tonight’s Sports Open Line! In the first hour of tonight’s show, Joe shares the pregame comments from Blues head coach Craig Berube who speaks on Torey Krug’s injury, the return of Jordan Kyrou, and their match up versus the Toronto Maple Leafs. Benjamin Hochman of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch then joins the show to discuss the Blues, Mizzou basketball, Billikens basketball, and to pay respects to the recently passed Demetrious Johnson. Johnson was a St. Louis native and former NFL safety who was known for his charitable work in the community. Joe Lunardi, ESPN’s college basketball “Bracketologist” also joins the show to discuss the Billikens’ recent woes, including a home loss to SIUE despite being up 18 points; Mizzou’s victory over Illinois in the Braggin’ Rights Game; and to give a dismal outlook on the Atlantic 10’s probability of having multiple schools in the NCAA Tournament.
Sports Open Line with Matt Pauley airs weeknights 6-8pm on KMOX barring any Billikens or NFL games. Join the show by calling or texting (314) 436-7900 or by tweeting to Matt @MattPauleyOnAir. Listen live at 1120AM, 98.7FM, or on the free Audacy app.
