Last place Pittsburgh mounted a challenge last night to the 10th ranked Notre Dame women at Purcell Pavilion, but Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron had answers when it counted. Citron had 20 points on the night, and Miles dished out 13 assists while scoring 11 to lift the Irish to a 69-63 win. Syracuse comes to Notre Dame Sunday at 4:00 on Live 99-9.

Notre Dame hockey closes its home regular season tonight and tomorrow against Ohio State at the Compton Family Ice Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 tonight, 6:00 Saturday, both games on Quality Rock Z 94-3.

In the Big Ten, Zach Edey was too much for the Iowa Hawkeyes last night at a sold out Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, as number one Purdue won 87-73. Edey scored 17 and pulled down 17 rebounds while blocking five shots, as Braden Smith led all scorers with 24. The Boilers are at Northwestern Sunday. Tomorrow, 18th ranked Indiana plays at Michigan, and Michigan State is at Ohio State.

Super Bowl Sunday is upon us this weekend, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles settle the NFL championship in Arizona. Westwood One coverage is yours starting Sunday at 2:00pm, with the kickoff at about 6:40 Sunday evening here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT.
