Man we've got a treat for you guys this week on the Southern Ground Hunting Podcast. We've been really trying to stick with deer content throughout the spring, but sometimes a turkey hunting story is so good, you just have to share it wherever it can be told. So we're going to tell you a story of how three southern gentlemen traveled to Montana and killed 6 gobblers in an hour. It got western.

Joining Marcus this week on The Average Conservationist Podcast is Nick Alexander. Nick is the owner of 2% Certified CRKT Perfect Protein. What started off as a way to find a different source of protein, has led Nick to starting his own business and on a mission to educate others on the benefits of not only eating crickets, but the lack of a footprint the operation has on the landscape. This episode is filled with a ton of great insight and knowledge into Nick's business and plan for the future surrounding all the different ways one can consume cricket protein. If you're looking for a high protein, nutrient dense alternative to your normal diet, I highly suggest taking notes on this episode. Nick is on a mission to change the perception behind eating crickets and spreading the word to whoever will listen. To learn more about CRKT, check out crkt.life.

Hey everyone, welcome to episode 173 of the Antler Up Podcast!
On this week's episode I was joined by my good friend Aaron Hepler. Aaron has been on the podcast a few different times already but the topics on today’s episode we haven’t really explored. What we wanted to accomplish in this week's episode was to discuss how we can become more efficient hunters this upcoming year. I think we honestly just scratched the surface and will be completing another episode or episodes to build on this. This is a really easy podcast to listen to and some of my favorites to complete when a good friend is on and we just chat hunting.
Kicking this episode off we dive into my turkey success stories. We discussed how taking what I’ve learned in the turkey woods this spring can help me out come fall for whitetail. Following that we get into what we can do to become a more efficient hunter. From trail cameras, prepping your gear now, shooting your bow and a heck of a lot more. One aspect that we touched upon was scouting and how important it is to have confidence in yourself completing your scouting missions. From speed scouting, creating predetermined tracks on your map, to what sign to look for when setting your cameras for specific times of the year, Aaron covers it in this episode. We end on two different topics being which cameras we have had the most luck with and how persistence has helped us in the woods. Check it out and let us know what you think! Enjoy this fun episode and see you next week!
Thanks again for all the support and best of luck out there and Antler Up!

In this episode of the Wisconsin Sportsman Podcast, Josh talks with Pierce Nelles about how he recently scored on a double bearded WI gobbler.
Pierce encountered a series of unfortunate events that led to him missing out on a few of the tags he was hoping to have for earlier in the turkey season. Needless to say, by the time Pierce's turkey season rolled around, he was chomping at the bit! After a couple of unsuccessful outings, Pierce made it happen on his first "real" turkey hunt of the year. And the bird was a beaut! 1"+ spurs, 21.5" of total beard length, and a beautiful fan to boot. The guys close out the conversation with a few lessons Pierce learned from this turkey!

This week on the Missouri Woods & Water podcast Nate and Micah get the honor of talking with Torry Cook, owner of MFK Game calls and avid coyote hunter among other things. First, Nate and Micah talk about some of the turkey numbers in our state at the point in which we recorded. Micah also brings back the Chuck Norris jokes so enjoy that! Then, we talk with Torry about what it's like living around wild coyotes and getting to be so close to them throughout their lives. If you don't know, several years ago Torry came across some tiny coyote pups and took care of them to the point that they are ok with him and his wife's presence. He has since done it again and he is able to learn so much about these animals and record some awesome sounds as well. We then get into hunting summer coyotes and the way Torry attacks them this time of year including what sounds and sequences he uses among many other things. Thanks for listening and enjoy the show!
