On this episode of The Western Rookie Dan talks with Carter, Kaleb and Perry from Hunt Lift Eat about their experience hunting big game animals across the country.
Carter, Kaleb, and Perry are all die hard hunters ranging from vastly different places like Georgia, North Carolina and Colorado. Kaleb is the most experienced when it comes to Western Hunting, living in Colorado. Perry and Carter are new to Western Hunting with only a couple hunts under their belts like Colorado antelope, Wyoming antelope and Wyoming mule deer. All have different backgrounds and stories on how they got into the hunting world but they all pursue it with the same passion. Hunt Lift Eat brought the Carter, Kaleb and Perry together and they now have several hunts planned with one another in the upcoming seasons. Helping hunters who may not be familiar with western style hunting has become a passion of all three by sharing knowledge and stories which they do in this episode.

This week on the Missouri Woods & Water podcast we first welcome the return of our long lost host Andy! We also get the chance to talk with Chase Watson of Northeast Arkansas about one of the craziest hunts we have ever heard of. If you follow social media at all, I am sure you have seen the picture floating around of Chase getting a picture taken with a monster buck he killed.....in the parking lot of the hospital he was in. That's because Chase actually fell out of the tree he was in just seconds after he shot this buck. That is just the tip of the iceberg of this crazy story that thankfully worked out for Chase in more ways than one. Chase was able to live to tell this story with some injuries, but should recover with time. Today's show is also a great reminder to always wear your safety harness and, if you don't already, you should really consider using a lifeline as well while climbing. Congrats Chase and we are glad you are alright!

We finally made it. November is here! It's the time all deer hunters dream about 11 months out of the year, and the Oklahoma Outdoors Podcast wants to make sure you make the most out of it. John has become a big fan of the two part podcasts, and this week is no different. After talking about his recent and upcoming hunts, John goes into full on rut mode with a November break down. John breaks the month into thirds, and talks about what kind of deer activity a person can expect as the month goes on. From an all out frenzy to a slow lock down grind, John discussed what you can expect to see and the best tactics to use during each phase.
After the November break down, John goes into some best practices that he has learned over the years. He talks about what to do when the action on your cameras goes dead, and a trail camera strategy he learned that has directly led to putting a buck on the ground. Grunt tubes, rattling, decoys, it's all covered in this episode. And be sure not to forget the most important thing when it comes to hunting November, just be out there!
