Do things actually have colour... or is colour something our brains create?
In this Squiz Kids Science Short, we're switching off the lights and diving into the strange science of how we see colour. From light waves and the rods and cones in our eyes, to colour-blind humans, ultraviolet-seeing birds and the seriously weird eyes of the mantis shrimp, we'll discover that the world may look very different depending on the equipment you have to see it.
In this special school holiday Bumper S’Quiz, we’re putting kids and adults to the ultimate human body knowledge test.
From blood, bones and breathing to tongues, teeth, belly buttons, bacteria and a few slightly gross body facts, this quiz is packed with questions about the weird, wonderful and sometimes downright surprising things happening inside you every single day.
There are 10 questions for kids, then 10 questions for adults. Whoever gets the most correct wins eternal bragging rights, or at least the right to mention their superior brain power at every available opportunity for the rest of the holidays.
So take a deep breath, fire up the grey matter, and get ready to find out: How well do you really know your own body?
