He described the decades of corruption, ethnic divisions, and capitalist decay which culminated in the 2022 Aragalaya uprising. The JVP and its broad front, the NPP seized this historic moment and mobilised workers, women, peasants and the youth to win the presidency and parliamentary majority in 2024.
