Starting over is not the motivational version we’re used to hearing about.
It’s not just new beginnings or clean slates.
It’s what happens psychologically, emotionally, and socially when you decide to become new in a world that already knows you for something else.
In this episode, I’m talking about the discomfort of being seen as a beginner after you’ve already been competent. The way growth can get misread as performance. How learning in public gets labeled as unserious instead of developmental. And why unfamiliarity often gets mistaken for failure.
I break down why starting over feels heavier than staying where you are, especially when people are attached to who you’ve been, what you were good at, and how you fit into their understanding of you. Why imposter syndrome shows up loud when you’re actually in alignment. And why being underqualified isn’t a flaw — it’s a necessary stage.
This episode is for the woman who feels called into something new but is navigating other people’s projections, doubts, and expectations. The woman learning how to protect her mind while she builds. The woman realizing that her intelligence, worth, and value don’t disappear just because she’s learning.
Starting over isn’t weakness.
It’s motion.
And you’re allowed to be new.
If this episode resonated, I’d love to hear what you’re starting over with.
