Innes, Anthony, and Jeremy are here to talk about their feelings on the latest MFM update. Hot takes, cold takes, and some statistical skullduggery are all included!

Champions of 40k is a podcast that celebrates the people who make our hobby great.

In this episode I speak with Anthony Vanella - a man who grew up in the heart of suburbia, learned to fight, turned fighting into his living, and has now morphed that into a career as one of the best 40k players in the world.

He is vice-captain of the US WTC team, he's a coach at Art of War, and he's a specialist in the aggressive play style which has become his trademark. We talk a LOT about all of that.

Champions of 40k, hosted by Steve Joll, is a podcast that celebrates the people from all parts of the Warhammer 40k hobby that make it great.

In this episode ...

Memories of suburban cul de sacs morph into a conversation about street fights, and then into the way Anthony Vanella has shifted his love of violent action onto the table top.

The man known as 'Violence' spends less time throwing down in the ring these days, but has transfered a lot of his skills into 40k. He specializes in a very aggressive play style - which is the main focus of the episode.

For the first time in a long while (or ever?) the hosts are here to do a statistically-based (and somewhat feels influenced) Faction Ranking! Taking a look at the meta since the Q1 2024 dataslate at the end of January 2024 through to April 21, Innes, Nathan, and Jeremy are looking at who's performend and who's fallen flat (it's Deathwatch)!

The Orkpocalypse is upon us! Are Custodes dead on arrival? Innes and Anthony are here for all your hot takes on both books!

What is true love? And is there such a thing as love at first sight? These don't sound like very Warhammer questions - but they can be.

In this episode Steve Joll and Jake Harding talk about his journey in 40k, and also finding that army that you completely fall for. Each of us gets to that place of loving a faction in a different way. This is, partly, the story of how Jake found Votann.

Innes is fresh back from Alpine Cup, nursing his wounds. He talks about the event, Nathan covers stats, and Jeremy vamps a bit about whether the meta is balanced.
