This week we have special guest (and Stat Check network member) Steve Joll, host of the podcast Champions of 40k and of the Breeze Wellington 94.1FM/98.5FM. Steve is here to talk about bringing back Champions of 40k, why he chose to join the Stat Check network, and why you start with the troops in an army when painting a new scheme.

Steve Joll gets to know the people who champion all aspects of our awesome hobby - Warhammer 40,000.

In this episode, Seth the Mad Dok Oster explains his nickname, tells us how he got his start in content creation, and what led him to the seat that used to be occupied by the OG of 40k podcasting, Reece Robbins. We also discuss what happens when you fall out of love with your main army (Steve needs help).

Oh, and we talk about Orks. Painting orks, playing orks, painting orks, collecting orks, painting orks. Did I mention painting orks?

You can find Seth, Kicker and Nick's new youtube channel here. Give them a sub!

The podcast is still on the Frontline Gaming Network channel - which is in all the usual places. The Spotify link, for example, is here.

Go like the Champions of 40k facebook page.

Or say hi on Instagram - I'd love to hear from you. It's mostly hobby stuff on Insta ... but still.

I hope you enjoy the episode - Steve.

Innes is back undefeated from the Manchester Supermajor; Jeremy is back undefeated from All is Dust; Anthony is chilling like a villain while he gets ready for Alpine Cup in the coming weeks.

All's well in the meta - or is it? The team discuss their events, take questions from you the listener, and address some of the hot button issues of competitive 40k this week.

Innes learns how timezones work and rejoins Anthony and Nathan to discuss the week in warhammer. Innes and Anthony regale us with their tales from the Eurotrash Cup this past weekend in Amersfoort - sounds made up.

Icing may or may not have occurred at this even - listen for more!

We bagged ourselves a big one boys! Let's break down the Cascade Clash Major!

The hobby of 40k has introduced me to some of the nicest people I've ever met anywhere. One of those people is Stig from Tabletop Tactics. He was an early supporter of my podcasts, and is always one of the first to like or share the nonsense I post to instagram.

In this episode the man - who didn't earn his Ad Mech sounding nickname the way you think he did - talks to me about life before 40k, when a career as a rock n roll drummer beckoned, whether he gets recognised as a celebrity while out and about, how he fell into the famous job, and what it's really like working with Lawrence and co at Tabletop Tactics.

And, of course, why they call him Stig.

I hope you enjoy the episode - it's been a long time coming!

Steve
