It’s been a few weeks but Stay Hatin is back again. Soft Money was no where to be found this week but because it’s been a minute we decided to say screw it and push on. Frequent guest, Young God, decided to be cool and hang out with Serg to listen to some new rap songs and discuss in depth topics like codeine’s impact on rap, would Gunplay’s life could be easier if he had a cowboy hat, and Mackelmore is Adultz Bop. Episode 61

Stay Hatin’ is back for 2014! You would have thought that after taking about a month off we would have had a shit ton of raps to play you guys but that didn’t happen. Instead we end up talking A LOT and we know how some of you guys hate that but fuck it. For this episode we invited Bret Sweet aka Karma of the Kemetic Suns crew on to the show to talk about rap music, his new book, selling digital music in the Aol days and all kinds of other stuff. As mentioned on the show you can buy his book here and there is a mix that accompanies it that you can get here. We do manage to run through some new raps but also play a couple of old ones to, maybe that was to make up for the autotune montage we had in the middle there. Whatever you guys know the deal, listen and download all this stuff.

This is the last Stay Hatin of 2013 and it kicks off with half an hour of Lord Infamous and Three 6 Mafia jams so it’s a pretty good way to celebrate music instead of making lists of raps and all that bullshit. It’s just Serg and Soft Money talking about raps and all kinds of other useless info like is it Chunk or Chuck up the duece? Soft Money claims 6 minute rap songs are the jam bands of rap. What is the other band that did Whoomp/Whoot/whoop there it is? Do you like rap that does not change the culture? We seem too for some reason. Serg brings up country music blogging because that’s real interesting.  Also here is the link to the L-wood HD Fresh Out mix that Serg mentions is good but apparently he is never in the mood for.

Episode 59 Mayne! This is a very intimate episode with Soft Money, Serg and some new samples.  Soft Money tries to make his headphone joke again, Serg plays a kinda reggaey song, and Soft asks listeners to help him find a wedding dj. If you want to be the master of the mix hit up the ask I’m sure you’re totally qualified for it. We play some dumb songs but also some songs that teach you some life lessons about tightening up your shit and stop doing all that dumb shit. It’s a very self help seminar show.

Stay Hatin is back! This week Young God of BSBD joins the guys in Serg’s kitchen  to discuss Lil B, rapping like a goat, catfish, finding foods in your beard, is this a Soft Money Jam, the future of trap music and many other exciting things. You should listen for Young God’s impressions of OJ Da Juiceman and Young Jeezy. We never did get an answer as to whether or not that Sicko Mobb was a Soft Money jam but now you the listener can decide on that one in the ask box.

This latest episode features Dj Tap10 of the Honor Roll crew who does a show on Alldayplay.fm as well on Tuesdays. Tap10 brought some dope raps, he got Soft Money to reveal his desire for bhangra hip-hop dance abs dvds, they play too much Future and Serg complains about singing, again. You’d be advised to peep that L-Deez track that Tap brought in that happens to be an EXCLUSIVE. No but really it’s fucking good and dude is stylin hard on it, super co-sign on that joint. If things go well too we may have video of this exclusivity being brought to you guys real soon. Stay Hatin empire might be growing beyond stickers.

Oh which by the way if you’ve gotten some stickers post that shit up  on instagram or whatever and tag it #stayhatin so you can be included in photos of dude’s shoes and girls giving middle fingers at no one.

This weeks Stay Hatin is brought to you by our reliable sponsor Run-on’s & Tangents. Soft Money discusses his excitement for being able to discuss Mike Will Made It with Miley fans. Serg tells a story about sports bars with day beds and boats.  Somewhere in there they manage to play some rap songs even if they don’t necessarily discuss them all. Above is the cover to the tape that Serg pulled quite a few tracks from, on the podcast he incorrectly says Black Bill Gates, it’s a tape from Bigga Rankin and team FYM.  As for what FYM means? We’re gonna go with Fuck You Mean.

Episode 54 (yeah I know I said 55 on the show) for this episode Serg finally links up with Matt Chang who we’d meant to talk to like a fucking year ago when his record Bay Blue dropped on Anticon. Matt is a producer from the bay area whose been around for quite some time but he likes drinking, rap and as far as I know does not like Drake and the Stay Hatin rule book that totally qualifies you for being a guest on the show. We play a good amount of rap songs on this episode, some that he ends up liking and some songs he probably could have done without. Things get interesting when he tells us about how his wife reads him dianetics in the Bane voice before he goes to sleep.  He also mentions this video where Action Bronson eats two chicken wings, I just now found out they were ghost pepper wings so yeah now it makes sense that he only ate two. Episode 53 of Stay Hatin with DoseOne. Soft Money and Serg play rap songs and then someone says something about them. Dose tried to say something about a Fat Trel song but couldn’t remember that it was a Celtic Women sample. Fortunately we remembered to link it. They also said some stuff about the Anticon 15 year Anniversary shows which you can find out about here: SF or LA. Also check the Anticon site for Jel’s new record. One of the reasons that we invited Dose over for this particular podcast was to get his thoughts on some of these young Atlanta kids who are doing some interesting things with their voices, specifically Young Thug and Pee Wee the Longway. While Dose didn’t particularly care for Pee Wee he did like Young Thug so at least we won him over a little.  Oh the last song of the podcast got copied and pasted after the fact because Serg wanted to play something and discuss this guy who is calling himself Itz Lil B Man but never got a chance so the song is there at the end of the podcast for you guys to think about if this guy should have issues with that name considering no one knows about the other Lil B in the rap game. Oh yeah and if you never heard the Toe Lover song you’d be advised to revisit our valentines day show.
