After a few weeks Stay Hatin is back again this time with guest DJ Eons aka Dan Lactose formerly of a lot of bands and creator of 7″s. Discussed on the podcast are important issues like Dan’s convo with his mom about the 700 Club’s in depth investigation into Dungeons and Dragons kids murdering other kids and how he wasn’t going to kill a kid, Serg has been out of the car game so long that he forgets the Toyota introduced the 2.4L Tacoma in 1995 #importanthip-hopfactz, is Your Old Droog really Noz living out his rap dreams, and finally the guys round out the family forward discussion with drunk driving talk. This episode is mostly tapes, heavy on the Eon’s selections with a few mp3’s from Soft Money sprinkled in there for terrible measure.

Another all cassette podcast for you to bump. This week the elaborate Stay Hatin mafia is joined by DJ B.Cause who came through with some bay area rap gems. Soft Money aka Mr. What’s Gafflin learns about Montgomery Ward. The closest one to Soft Money’s hometown that the internet could tell us about was in Kansas City but there had to be one in St Louis, they were everywhere. Everyone is confused by the cover to APG’s See The Light album but kind of in awe at the brilliant trainwreck that is the Criminal Elament cover. If anyone can tell us why there is a horse on the cover please let us know and you will get an amazing prize.

Episode 70

Stay Hatin brings you another all cassettes podcasts of raps. This week rapper Luke Sick shows up to play summer jam 91 recordings, EPA finest raps, turntablism and all other kinds of random bay area raps that may or may not include Casual on them. Noz also shows up to drop a few tapes and talk about raps. It’s a pretty long episode with some talky bits but you guys know the deal, Serg goes off on one to many porn magazine tangents as he is wont to do. I tried editing the sound a bit but the highs got some warble going on from this old ass panasonic walkman we used for this episode. Also we might be doing rap tape shows all summer since access to the studio is limited this summer and scheduling. But we’ll probably also mix that up with new raps because there are a lot of them. I don’t have a tracklisting because our intern still hasn’t typed it up, might be time to fire him.

Soft Money and Serg get together in Serg’s kitchen once again to listen to rap songs, discuss lizard people, reality, being martyrs for rap fans because it’s a struggling digging through all the crap sometimes, strategies for appropriately placing asterisks in the word N***A on a Monica CD, and other critical topics affecting the youth of today. Serg still didn’t get it right, in the video Monch is given mail to remind him that he was called the Human Mailbox because he beatboxed early on when he was much fatter.

Stay Hatin is BACK! It’s been a while but we’re back with a new episode filled with plenty of raps, old and new. Serg starts things off with a block of STL Rap, Soft Money pairs it up with a set of ratchet jams. With so much rap it’s a little light on the convo but you don’t need long rants about sex tapes, tattoo archaeology, forgotten rap facts, who is the original riff raff? or why is Serg listening to chicago bop music. Download Episode 67

This is the analog episode, we got to bullshitting and had the idea to record an all tape episode. Noz was with it so we had him as a guest on the show. Unfortunately it was his suggestion that we actually play the tapes. Serg had the bright idea to record the episode at All Day Play which meant that it would air live as well. We had a stack of about 35 tapes, 6 walkmans, and bunch of cables. About an hour into the show one of the cables hit the keyboard and stopped the recording just as there was a discussion about Yeezus, the Illuminati is watching. Anyways Serg was able to salvage most of the show, there are some fucked up levels of stuff but that’s to be expected, we tried to even things out as best we could but that’s the difficulty with using cheap ass walkman’s and old tapes. It was a pretty fun thing to record and will definitely happen again but under better circumstances, like never do that shit live for the first time that’s for sure. Cooking in the kitchen this week so we played a bunch of new raps and had in depth discussion about things Stay Hatin is not qualified to discuss at all like dubstep, mixtape site app usage dollars, burial vs skrillex, Soft Money shares his first experience with rave trap, Serg compares Future to Michael Bolton, everyone is confused as to what “Kno Undoe” means, Soft Money provides play by play of the Outkast performace at Coachella for those without internets. I think we were suppose to post a video on the site but I can’t remember what it is and didn’t hear it when editing the show so fuck it.

Stay Hatin is back. Episode 63

Stay Hatin is back this week with more new raps and intense conversation about Andre3000 acting ability, Trae’s lack of pop hits, bop dance instruction, teaching old rappers how to use the internet, prison radios, and naked Moby photos. This episode features writer Tamara Palmer sharing her thoughts on the rap music as well as Noz filling in for Soft Money who couldn’t make it for whatever bullshit reason.
