You could say that spending several years sailing around the untamed wilds is an unusual thing to do.  Not for Stephen.  He's done it twice now, and he wrote a book about it both times.  It's certainly not a journey for everyone.  Undrinkable water, muggings, storms, sleeping in a boat.  People become apoplectic when their coffee maker breaks.  For those people, it's best to read about exploration rather than attempt it.
