Brenda and Ana Sheila will be back with a new episode next week but this week, enjoy an episode Ana Sheila recorded with the hosts of Spilling La Sopa podcast. Spilling la Sopa hosts Wendy and Rosie take you through conversations about surviving their early 30s, the struggles of growing up between two cultures, familia, and healing through humor. In this conversation, Wendy, Rosie and I talk all about stepping out of your comfort zone - what it is, why to do it, how to do it, the struggle, and of course, the rewards. We hope you walk away with a little more courage to be just a little more bold, a little more atrevida.
More about Spilling la Sopa Podcast.
"Spilling La Sopa is a Spanglish podcast where Dr. Wendy Herrera, a clinical and forensic psychologist, and her amiga, Rosie Ortiz, an I/O psychologist, discuss various mental wellness topics in the Latinx community como intergenerational trauma, the struggles of growing up between two cultures, and navigating dynamics in the familia. Rosie and Dr. Wendy use personal stories and acknowledge humor as a primary coping skill that allows for healing. The name Spilling La Sopa is meant to combine the feeling of "spilling the tea" with some good chisme, and of having a conversation without filter even if it's messy, "sin pelos en la lengua."
