- A measure of SpaceX’s (SPCX) credit risk surged to a fresh high and the company’s bonds weakened in the secondary market on Wednesday, following reports the company is in talks with banks and investors to raise $40 billion to buy chips from Nvidia Corp. The price of five-year credit default swaps on the company’s debt rose as much as 0.167 percentage point to around 197.6 basis points a year, according to ICE Data Services, which is the highest intraday level since the swaps started actively trading in June. SpaceX is looking to raise $40 billion in what would be among the biggest-ever debt financings for the AI buildout, with the company’s fundraising discussions in an early stage and could end without a deal being completed, according to people familiar with the matter.
- Ford (F) shares fall 1.5% Wednesday, and General Motors stock drops 0.8% as UBS analyst Joseph Spak lowered his price target on the carmakers. Spak said he expects Ford to report in-line results for the third quarter “We had seen a larger beat in the quarter but incorporated the impact from F-150 production downtime owing to a supplier disruption,” he said
- Micron Technology (MU) shares are up 3.1% on Wednesday, after D.A. Davidson raised its price target on the memory chipmaker to a Street-high view of $3,000, seeing long-term tailwinds related to AI. Analyst Gil Luria recently met with Micron’s management team, and “concluded that investors are early in their journey of understanding MU’s value and believe that journey will lead them to assigning a far higher multiple”

- JetBlue (JBLU) shares are mixed. JetBlue Airways Corp. won approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration to take over Spirit Airlines’ takeoff and landing slots at New York’s LaGuardia Airport. The regulator granted the transfer on the condition that JetBlue cannot lease or trade any of the 22 slots to another carrier until after April 2028, according to a notice released Tuesday.
- Arlo Technologies (ARLO) shares drop. Shares of makers of smart doorbells, locks and thermostats are falling as Apple is said to be getting into smart home devices developed through an unusual partnership with LG Electronics.
- Penguin Solutions (PENG) shares rise. The company reported EPS and sales above estimates. Trading volume was 34 times the average for this time of day.

- Webull (BULL) shares sink as much as 24%, the most since April 2025, after CNBC reported that the US House Select Committee on China is set to release a report on Wednesday that Webull is tied structurally to the government in China, raising national security concerns.

SpaceX is seeking to raise $40 billion in a financing effort led by Apollo Global Management to purchase Nvidia chips, the Financial Times reports, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter. - Google parent Alphabet (GOOGL) agreed to buy nuclear power from Constellation Energy Corp. in a 20-year power-purchase agreement that will drive more than $4.3 billion in investments to upgrade systems at 11 Constellation reactors. The agreement will add 890 megawatts of new reactor capacity and the electricity will start arriving on the grid as soon as 2028, with Constellation shares rising as much as 15% in New York. The deal is part of a trend of tech companies investing in nuclear energy to support their operations, with other companies such as Amazon.com Inc., Walmart Inc., and Microsoft Corp. also signing agreements with Constellation and other nuclear power producers. Constellation shares rose as much as 15% in New York, in biggest intraday jump since April, while Alphabet’s stock fell as much as 0.5%.
- Marvell Technology (MRVL) shares rise as much as 11%, the most intraday since late August, after the company raised its revenue guidance for fiscal year 2028 to $20 billion, topping the average analyst estimate.
- Empire State Realty Trust (ESRT) is trading higher by 4.7% on Tuesday after a 13D filing late Monday showed Bruce Schanzer’s Erez Asset Management took a 10-million-share (5.8%) stake in the office landlord, calling the stock undervalued.
