    On this episode of Stock Movers:

    -CH Robinson (CHRW) shares are down. CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. agreed to buy RXO Inc. in a deal valued at about $5.8 billion to diversify its business and capitalize on RXO’s abilities in expedited and last-mile delivery. CH Robinson aims to use its AI-based model to extract $300 million of cost savings within two years and improve efficiency in a challenging freight market. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2027 and will bolster CH Robinson’s standing as North America’s largest broker by revenue, with RXO shareholders expected to own 11% of the combined company upon closing.

    - PTC (PTC) shares rise. Schneider Electric shares fell as much as 10% in Paris, the most since January 2025, as an agreement to acquire PTC draws a cautious initial response from analysts. Concerns center on the size and financing of the transaction, as well as uncertainty over AI disruption and whether the deal can strengthen Schneider’s competitive position. 

    - Intel (INTC) shares drop after Elon Musk confirmed discussions with TSMC over chip manufacturing for Terafab.

  • Vaxcyte Surges, Harley Davidson Gains, CH Robinson Drops on News it Will Buy RXO for $5.8 Billion

    On this episode of Stock Movers:

    - Vaxcyte (PCVX) shares surge. The pharmaceutical firm said that VAX-31, its experimental vaccine to prevent invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) and pneumococcal pneumonia, met all primary endpoints in the OPUS-1 pivotal Phase 3 adult trial, compared to PCV20 and PCV21.
     
    - Harley Davidson (HOG) shares gain. Citi upgraded the motorcycle company to buy from neutral, writing that an acceleration in retail growth is “tough to ignore.” What began as modest retail improvement early in 2026 now appears to be building, with 2027 likely to benefit from a major product introduction, a significant cost-savings story, and potential earnings tailwinds from LiveWire,” writes analyst James Hardiman.

    - Nike (NKE) is cutting jobs and overhauling the business as results deteriorate, with a restructuring plan expected to save $2.5 billion over the next five years. The company announced weaker-than-expected sales for the latest quarter and a disappointing outlook for this fiscal year, with a high-single-digit revenue decline expected. Nike shares fell as much as 8.9% after the announcement.

    - A software glitch affecting Boeing (BA) 737 Max aircraft was determined not to pose a safety risk by a Federal Aviation Administration panel, a positive outcome for the US plane maker seeking regulatory approval for the largest variant of the popular narrowbody family. 

    - Carnival (CCL) raised its full-year outlook as demand for future sailings hits the highest-level ever during the quarter. The company attributed its improved outlook to a third-quarter record $7.6 billion in booking deposits, which beat a prior-year record by $500 million. Carnival raised its full-year expectations for net yields to 2.3%, an increase of 55 basis points from guidance issued last quarter.

The automaker delivered 486,532 vehicles worldwide in the period, according to a statement Friday. That compared with 463,761 expected on average among analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.

    - Seagate (STX) shares sink after Nikkei reported that Toshiba would double its production capacity for hard disk drive.
