-Align Technology (ALGN) is facing renewed claims it monopolized the market for clear dental aligners, after the Ninth Circuit reversed a lower court grant of summary judgment to the company in two private cases. The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said Monday the district court erred, as the plaintiffs in both class actions provided enough evidence that a jury could reasonably find Align inhibited competition in the aligners market as well as the market for scanners that take digital images of the jaw, teeth, and bite of a patient.
