Now obviously there are plenty of people who were living paycheck to paycheck who have lost their jobs and don't know when they'll be able to make money again. It's a shame that they find themselves in that situation, so we don't mean to belittle them.
But millions and millions of Americans haven't lost their jobs. They're just stuck at home twiddling their thumbs for a few weeks. And they can't handle it.
The real story here is that the virus isn't making people sick as much as it's revealing how sick they already were.
For far too long, we've let our culture stagnate. We've relaxed into our immense wealth. We've taken it for granted while ignoring the warning signs of both physical and financial disease.
Now, everyone sees the walls closing in around them. They're even talking about people getting PTSD from the "trauma" of being stuck at home.
But here's the good news.
You can train yourself to look past the doom-and-gloom narratives of the media. Suddenly you'll realize how much of this crisis was deliberately manufactured and planted in people's minds.
And once you do, you'll start seeing all the opportunities for growth.
