We attempt to dissect UT's 37-34 OT loss to Texas Tech in Lubbock.

Multiple topics to focus on including the 100 offensive plays by the Red Raiders which were produced by the six 4th down conversions by Texas Tech against the Texas defense.

It was a signature win for 1st year Tech head coach, Joey McGuire, who stated in a video to his team that "we knew they (UT) were going to break", which is a direct shot at the fact Texas collapses late in games and has a tendency of losing leads during the first 16 games of the Sark era.

The Aggies beat Arkansas when the Hogs potential game winning field goal nailed the top of the goal post and was no good.

We gave our takes on the optics of the 98-0 victory Stephen F. Austin placed on Warner (an NAIA football program from Florida). An opponent SFA added prior to season after two opponents backed out of contracts.

We ended with the hail mary in San Angelo and Tell Me Something Good segment.

A 37-34 overtime loss at Texas Tech wasn't what the majority of the Texas football fan base anticipated.

So, how did this happen?

First off, the blame is across the board, but definitely NOT on quarterback Hudson Card.

The backup to the injured QB1, Quinn Ewers performed at a winning level producing 277 yards passing and a pair of TD passes to one interception.

The primary reasons are two significant reasons.

1A: Texas Tech conversion on 6 of 8 4th down attempts.

1B: Zero adjustment to Tech's adjustments in the 2nd half.

The day after the loss to Alabama which felt like a WIN!

An amazing college football atmosphere the entire morning and afternoon in and around DKR Texas Memorial Stadium.

A record crowd of 105,000+ attended the game and Sark's 2nd team at Texas resembled a team which is close to competing for championships.

A 20-19 loss to #1 Alabama resulted in a rise up the college football top 25 polls.

The Longhorns suffered a few injuries namely QB1, Quinn Ewers on his non-throwing arm. Ewers will be out 4-6 weeks.

Hudson Card was a warrior playing at a high level on an injured leg, filling in for Ewers nearly leading the Horns to the upset.

The story of the game was Texas matching the Crimson Tide's physicality and intensity.

Alabama was flagged for 15 penalties, uncharacteristic of a Nick Saban coached team. But, the few penalties Texas was flagged for, included a couple of controversial calls which altered the outcome.

Up next for Texas is a dangerous G5 program, UTSA, coached by Texas High School Football coaching legend & former UT assistant, Jeff Traylor.

It's season opening week in the ATX for Texas Longhorn football.

Tes is beside herself as are most of Longhorn Nation.

In this installment, we touched on Quinn Ewers being named QB1, realistic expectations of this team, and trusting the process.

Tes revealed her game plan for the Horns in the opener against Louisiana-Monroe and we discussed our concerns for this team initially despite the the major infusion and addition of a talent upgrade.

Each week, we'll select 4-5 games of interest and marquee national college football games to predict or pick in a segment called, Pickin' 'Em with Tes.

There were a couple of interesting headlines to debate, hazing in Alamo Heights, Texas & a couple on the upper deck at an Oakland A's game not afraid get it on.

We ended with Tik Tokking in the Man Cave.

The 4th and final installment begins with a tribute to Jeffrey's recent proposal to his much better 1/2. He crushed it and it was impromptu before he took a vacay back home to Cali.

Afterwards, we discussed Camp #Hookem and what is now expected in Sarkisian's 2nd season as UT's head coach as well as the following:

*QB1, Quinn Ewers

*Bijan's mustard & if Jeff has purchased it & how many tailgate parties he expects to have Bijan's Dijon ready to spread on the tailgating food options.

*Will Hudson Card win a game for Texas at some point this season?

*What game, outside of Alabama, should Longhorn fans be concerned with?

We wrapped things up with Tik Tokking in the Man Cave. Moms choreographing dances similar to those tied to the University of Alabama sorority rush.

BIG Stevie Lee, the former Texas Longhorn defensive tackle, is fired up about this week as a former player and as a college football fan.

Optimistic about the potential of the Longhorns' improvement in Sark's 2nd season. But, a realist with the 3 dozen+ new faces on the roster.

Lee delivered his takes on QB1, Quinn Ewers, the offensive line, the defense, and the season opening opponent, Louisiana-Monroe.

Mixed into the discussion are topics like wearing speedos on a trip to Mexico and a human mascot dressed as a dog plowing through young youth football players with a Heisman-like stiff arm. And, Bijan Robinson's dijon mustard.
