Episode 106 with Greg Swaim of SWAIMVILLE

Swaim is a native of basketball hungry Indiana, living in Oklahoma.

He was once a roommate of current Texas Men's Basketball head coach, Chris Beard at a camp for 3 nights.

Swaim is a scouting nut with one primary motivation, finding opportunities for high school basketball talents to play college basketball.

On the side, Swaim operates his own media platforms as well.

He offered his take on the possibility that OU and Texas may not be leaving the Big 12 and entering the SEC prior to the expiration of the current grant of rights. That is due to reported financial limitations in Norman.

Swaim delivered his Man Cave Story.

We took a deep dive into Sark's ridiculously talented and deep early Signing Day class which was signed on Wednesday.

A recruiting class which addressed every need including the glaring need of BIG HUMANS, offensive lineman.

The class also includes a pair of high end prospects at quarterback, Quinn Ewers and Malik Murphy.

We cleared up the fallacy that universities are NOT compensating players for Name, Image, & Likeness deals. Instead, it's private businesses and alumni related businesses and non-profits/charitable organizations.

Stories Inside the Man Cave Podcast VIP alumni, Kurt Hines delivered a solid rendition of Ozzy Osbourne's 'Crazy Train' with wrapping paper rolls. 

We addressed the Gene Chizik remarks which criticized UT about  paying offensive linemen, $50,000 for NIL deals, The Pancake Factory.

And, we  ended with a bang. A parrot resembling a 20-year-old Wheels while running the 40 acres.

Special Episode with  LBJ Jaguars Athletics head football coach, Jahmal Fenner 

This episode is all about AISD Athletics Austin ISD pride.

LBJ is making history.

For the 1st time since 1973 an Austin ISD football program will be playing for a state championship.

The Jaguars will meet the Stephenville Yellow Jackets for the 4A, Division 1 state title Friday morning in Arlington, TX at Jerry World.

This state title game appearance goes much deeper below the surface.

This is a tribute to the inner-city high school football programs. This is for all the Jaguar teams in the past. And, this is for the city of Austin and for the late, great former LBJ head coach, Andrew Jackson.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WEEK FOR TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL!!

It's an ideal week for the man who covers Texas high school football like no other to step into the Man Cave for an episode. 

Throughout the year you can find Matt Stepp traveling from Dalhart to Brownsville and El Paso to Lufkin cultivating relationships with high school football coaches & players and enjoying the fine cuisines each Texas town or city has to offer along the way. 

Stepp paid tribute to the legend that is Dave Campbell, who recently passed away at the age of 96. Campbell created what is often referred to as the bible of football in Texas, Dave Campbell's Texas Football. 

Stepp delivered his take on the four Austin area programs who will be playing for a state title:

And, Stepp's valued opinion on Quinn Ewers transferring to Texas from Ohio State.

Special episode: Brent Venables introduced as Lincoln Riley's successor at OU.

 OKC tv veteran and  WWLS The Sports Animal host, Mark Rodgers entered the Man Cave to discuss the return of Brent Venables to Norman as the Oklahoma Sooners head football coach.

Venables was Bob Stoops' defensive coordinator for several years at OU before accepting a similar role for Dabo Swinney at Clemson.

Episode 104 with Grammy nominee, SaulPaul

The talented musician from Houston calls Austin home and is a proud University of Texas graduate. 

His background and story is beyond inspiring. SaulPaul had a tough childhood growing up in the Greenspoint area of Houston.

His late grandmother adopted him and raised SaulPaul along with 16 other children.

He attended UT, but flunked out and was later arrested by the FBI and was sent to the state penitentiary and served a sentence. 
He utilized that time to educate and improve himself.

And, SaulPaul returned to UT and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

He is an advocate of the foster care system and inspiring children.

Through his music, SaulPaul inspires through his lyrics to children and the value of education and how to "Be The Change".

Not to mention, SaulPaul is an orangeblood who is a devoted and opinionated Texas Longhorn fan.

SPECIAL EPISODE: Lincoln Riley Bounces from Norman to USC, the Oklahoma reaction, part 2
Berry Tramel, legendary Oklahoma sports writer, offered his knowledge and opinions on Lincoln Riley leaving Oklahoma for USC.

It's somewhat of an episode of the "Twilight Zone" for the OU fan base according to  Tramel.

If OU decided to hire a big named assistant coach, it wouldn't be the first time. In fact, the Sooner legends like Wilkinson, Fairbanks, Switzer, Stoops, and Riley were all assistant coaches when they were hired as the head coach of the OU football program.

The big time, ridiculous amounts of money offered to these head coaches such as Riley's alleged offer at USC is an example of our society in college athletics currently.

Less than 48 hours after OU lost to OSU in Bedlam, Sooners head coach, Lincoln Riley bounced to USC and the soon to be College Football Hall of Fame coach, Bob Stoops is named OU's interim head coach.

A special episode with a veteran voice in OKC who knows #BoomerSooner football, Curtis Fitzpatrick

Fitz, a long time friend and former co-worker while in OKC, has been in the middle of all of the drama in Norman.

We try to figure why Riley left, what all transpired, and what's next for the Sooners football program.

The final game of this bizarre and frustrating season is the morning after Thanksgiving vs Kansas State.

The Horns will not go bowling but will have an opportunity to avoid losing a program record 7 conference games in one season IF Texas beats Kansas State at DKR Memorial Stadium.

Austin American-Statesman reporter, Brian Davis asked UT Head Coach, Steve Sarkisian about the bizarre season which included a monkey, the Bo Davis video, the losing streak, the 2nd half collapses, and all that comes with this high pressure job.

Sark said, "I'm built for this!".

I believe him. 

The end goal is developing talent and having his player acclimate to the offensive and defensive systems to a point where they aren't thinking, instead playing fast and reacting.

At 4-7 overall and 2-6 in Big 12 play, a win over K-State would propel Texas with some momentum into the off-season, Texas would avoid experiencing one of the 5 worst seasons in school history in regards to number of losses.

Kansas State is bowl eligible and has an electric running back returning home to the Austin area for the first time in his college career.

Deuce Vaughn, a sophomore, is a product of Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock. #22 has rushed for 1115 yards and has rushed for 14 touchdowns this season.

His head coach, Chris Klieman praised Deuce in how he's handled his early success during Big 12 Football Media Days prior to the season.

Episode 103 with Steven Ngati

The Longhorn fanatic who created a platform called Fanatic Perspective has quite a story how his Longhorn fandom came about.

It involves his late mother who has ties to Lockhart, TX and UT.

Ngati, who is a life long Longhorn fan, grew up on the east coast and graduated from the prestigious HBCU, Howard University.

He made his way to Austin as quickly as possible and entered the tech industry at Dell, but has a passion for and a background in journalism.

Ngati parlayed that passion for journalism and analysis of sports into a podcast, Fanatic Perspective.

Since then, Steven's podcast has built quite a following of over 10k people.

In this episode, Ngati offered his takes on the Longhorn football program and encourages the Texas fan base to practice patience towards Steve Sarkisian and this staff. 

Currently, it's not fun. But, much brighter days are ahead for the UT football program.

We closed things out with the "Tell Me Something Good" segment which was in honor of Thanksgiving, expressing gratitude.
