## Story Summaries
**Hexed by the Neighbor**
A young couple moves into a barangay in Laguna and befriends their elderly neighbor Corazon, who leaves vegetables on their doorstep. But when the wife starts suffering from crippling headaches and finds cursed objects around the house, they discover that Corazon has been practicing mangkukulam and the vegetables were infused with spells. A folk healer performs tawas and reveals the truth, but the curse only reverses when they burn the cursed doll Corazon left behind.
**The Political Curse**
In Iloilo, a barangay captain running for reelection faces sabotage from his rival, who hires a mambabarang to send spirit cockroaches into his home. The infestation is unlike anything exterminators have seen. The insects ignore poison and move in coordinated patterns. When the captain seeks help from an albularyo, she discovers a cursed jar buried under his floorboards containing dead insects and a scratched photograph of his family.
**Blood Curse**
A schoolteacher in Cebu watches her teenage daughter waste away from a mysterious illness. The girl sleepwalks to the same mango tree every night at three in the morning. When the mother digs under the tree, she finds a clay pot containing a wax figure pierced through the heart with her daughter's hair wrapped around it. The handwriting on the curse belongs to her own sister, who had been practicing high-level kulam for years.
