Don't step on the cracks, or you'll fall and break your back." Many children found this particular rhyme convincing enough to dance across sidewalks for the majority of their childhood, until enough missteps convinced them that their back was safe from superstition. Urban legends can be unforgiving. There are horrific urban legends of the supernatural nature; there are those founded from an innate distrust of political forces that turn out to be true... Some urban legends last the test of time, while others disappear overnight. Whatever the source, the cause, or the interpretation, all urban legends share one core truth: they are compelling enough to share. So turn down the lights, get comfortable or uncomfortable, and let’s begin our tour of the world’s darkest urban legends. The Devil’s Backbone is a scenic drive that follows a limestone ridge which runs from Blanco to Wimberley.  It is wonderful drive that encompasses all the beauty that is found in the Hill Country.

There are many who believe that the Devil’s Backbone is haunted, and reports of strange events have persisted for many years.  Most of these stories take place in the heavily wooded areas of the Backbone, where the sun seems to barely reach the deep valley, and where one gets the sense of being alone and totally cutoff from the world beyond.  The area is made up mostly of ranches and hunting cabins, and it is from these remote locations where the hauntings have taken place......

Sarah Winchester had the so-called Winchester Mansion built to her bizarre specifications, in order to appease the ghosts she thought were haunting her.  Construction began in 1884, and didn’t stop for 38 years until her death in 1922. Tormented by the guilt of victims lost to the Winchester Rifle, Mrs. Winchester built the dizzying Victorian-style structure with many odd and mysterious features. Doors that open to walls, stairways that lead to the ceiling, and many more oddities in the massive 160-room mansion. Was she simply interested in architecture was she truly being cured by spirits?! Rant |  Verb: To speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way.. And we get "passionate" on this open discussion about a fan requested episode about Kyle Odom, the guy who killed a pastor because he thought he was some sort of reptilian martian alien. We also get into the idea of direct energy weapons being used to start fires and the colorful ways celebrities try to "act" virtuous.
