Strange Places

Whitehaven. Once a Civil War-era American plantation mansion that had fallen into disrepair when the interstate threatened to wipe the the historical structure from the face of Paducah, Kentucky. However, it was the interstate itself that saved the historical structure - prompting the city to use its unique location and stunning looks as a Commonwealth rest stop and restored historical landmark. However, this place is no ordinary rest stop, some say. Some say it is one of the most haunted places in all of Kentucky.

For the first time, host Billie Dean Shoemate III along with friend Donald Haynes, travels to the location itself to complete the investigation. In this on-site Strange Places episode, a different kind of investigation ensues. One under the very roof of the place in question.

Seemingly, this entire town is haunted by the spirits of the damned, the restless, and the lost. Is this place legitimately a thin spot in this reality? Or is this all mythology?

He had been involved in many businesses and had even been accused of being connected to organized crime. Not only that, but he was rumored to have been an informant speaking against not only high-ranking mafiosos, but high-ranking US figureheads. Despite multiple investigations by the police and FBI, no one has been able to determine what happened to him or why other strange murders have appeared involving people linked to the case.
