Strange Things with Chris James

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, it was common for folks to gather together on Christmas eve, and tell scary stories. The idea was to try frightening the listeners so much, they couldn't sleep that night. Here are a few stories from long ago to get you ready for when you're alone, in the dark.

Some people have come close to dying. Others have passed on and somehow managed to come back. Here are a few of the stories of what they saw.

Hertz are how we measure vibrations. Vibrations are used for more than just music. Some say huge monoliths were moved by using vibrations. Shamen use vibrations to visit other worlds. Here is what I could find about hertz.

Extra Sensory Perceptions has gone by many names. Second Sight, visions, telepathy, on and on. Why are some people able to see or hear things that wind up to be true? The government spent $20,000,000 studying ESP only to claim there's nothing to it. Crimes have been solved and things have been found using this bizarre ability.

In 1981, a new and exciting video game began appearing in select arcades. Everyone wanted to get their hands on the controls. Those who did, began having bizarre reactions. Others had nightmares and hallucinations. It was rumored the CIA had designed this machine as a form of mind control. Here is what I could find.

When a father or mother, husband or wife, son or daughter go missing, it makes for a long, desperate time for the rest of the family. Every time the phone rings, the family will expect some kind of news, good or bad. Not knowing must be about as hard as life can get. What happens when more than one member of the family is missing. How about the entire family. Here are some stories to make you a whole lot nervous next time you set out on an adventure.

Long before those nice little white rolls of paper were there for our convenience, people were still...going. What did they use once the job was done? Here is a quick journey through our past to make our present more appreciative.

In 1961, the son of the richest man on earth, Michael Rockefeller disappeared somewhere around New Guinee. The "Official Story" was he drowned at sea. The unofficial story was he was invited to dinner by the locals, as the main course. There is evidence he may have gone native, joining the headhunters. Here is what we could find.

Christopher Garetano spent ten years looking into Camp Hero and the Montauk Project. He joined me to talk about what he discovered during his research. His film, "Montauk Chronicles," is well worth watching. He also has his own podcast, "Off To The Witch." He interviews some folks many of us would never get to hear from. Christopher is also the Creator, Executive Producer, and Host of "Strange World."

Dario joins me by way of Skype to talk about his life in the military and his poetry. He tells stories about things like, the Zone of Silence, Ghosts, UFOs, and much more. If you think poetry is all romance or social commentary, you should check out his writings.
