Strange Things with Chris James

In a time-honored tradition, even though I'm a few days late, here are some ghost stories to listen to, into the night. These stories were all told to me by folks I interviewed as I was working on a few books. I have no reason to think they are not true.

Is Santa Claus real. I met a man who, if he's not the real Santa, he does a pretty good job of impersonating the Big Guy. Nick told me his adventures and misadventures as he went through life, bringing a little joy to some kids, and a few adults.

There is a mountain with quite a history. The locals say only got here with profound respect for the land. In 1939, the Soviet Army tried using this high ground to their advantage. Things did not go according to plan.

Is the year really 2025. Is there any possibility we are actually living in 1728. Herbert Illig did some research and he found out, someone might have been tinkering with the dates on just about every document in Europe during the 16th century. Jone me as I dive headfirst into this rabbit hole. For unknown reasons, the date of the show was announced as the 7th. I was very careful to say 13th but computers do as they wish.

There are some things out there that just don't behave the way they should. Sometimes they act as if possessed or haunted. There are also things that might lead you to a haunted place or thing. Life just might not be as safe and ordered as we would like.

People have reported strange encounters and sightings in Zion National Park for years. Long before it was a park the locals considered it sacred ground. Here are some things to look for next time you make a visit.

All the vessels that vanish into the triangle must be somewhere. Here are a few updates on the mystery location and some new theories as to what might be going on.

People have seen and spoken to beings that took on the appearance of other people, family members or close friends. It was only through some minor anomaly the witness realized the mimic wasn't who they were trying to pretend to be. What are these creatures and should we be worried. Here is something to think about next time you see...anyone you know.

Halloween has come and gone, and now for the next calibration, the Day of the Dead. All over the world folks get together to remember those who are no longer breathing. Here are some of the things people do.

Some more stories to get you ready for Trick or Treat. These stories are all from Fort McIntosh and as far as I know, are true.
