Jeremy Corbyn was the keynote speaker at the Stop The War Coalition rally that took place in Trafalguar Square in London on 11 January 2020. The rally took place a few hours after Iran admitted it has accidently shot down an aircraft that resulted in 176 innocent lives being lost. This happened after the president of the United States, Donald Trump, issued an order that resulted in what has been described by many commentators as the assassination of an Iranian General.

Trainspotting is a hobby that I have never understood. That changed when StreetMic engaged father & son trainspotters in a delightful conversation about their lifetime hobby. This sees them travelling over one thousand miles each month to feel, smell and ride on all types of trains.
You will also get to hear about the pleasures they get from sitting quietly on a platform filming different trains as they pass by before going home to upload the recordings on their YouTube channel for their subscribers to also enjoy.
Future episodes of StreetMic will be released on a Sunday at 10am London time.

Football is the biggest sport in the UK, and millions of fans pay extortionate sums of money to follow their team around the country each week.
The creator of StreetMic podcast, Wendell Daniel, dislikes football. He felt it was a good idea to interview a football fanatic to understand why any person would pay large portions of their salary each month to follow their team around the country.
This podcast is a brilliant insight into the motivation of a Manchester United season ticket holder, who lives in London However, he is prepared to travel all the way to Manchester on a regular basis to see his beloved team play a game of footie

Lady Alma Kent is 102 years old. She has three older siblings who are still alive and she describes herself as the baby. Her mother and father were 108 & 111 respectively when they died and she puts her longevity down to her family genes.
Lady Alma Kent is well-known throughout Hampstead and London. She only eats fruit & veg, and Quavers crisps. She drinks a glass of rum each night before going to bed because it helps her sleep. She is still very fit & strong and is the eldest woman ever to run the London Marathon.
This StreetMic podcast interview was conducted near a transport hub and is part of series of three. Another interview will hear her talk about being a nurse and what it was like to be captured and mistreated by the Japanese during WW2.
The final interview will hear her talk about why she has been selling poppies for the Royal British Legion for the last 70 years and what it is like to march past the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. This will be published along with a PODCAST from the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

The Grenfell Tower fire claimed the lives of seventy two innocent victims and a public inquiry was set in to identify the issues that led to the tragedy. Phase One of the Inquiry report was published on 30 October. StreetMic went onto the streets around Grenfell Tower to obtain local reactions from those who were involved in the tragedy, or from those who witnessed the events.
Many local residents, and a worker, were happy to tell StreetMic their personal story about what they saw, heard and how they and the local community have been affected by the fire. They also gave their opinions on the one thousand paged Inquiry report that was published.
Please note a telephone call that was made to LBC Radio after the fire has been featured in this Podcast. You will hear from a caller whose mum and aunt perished in the fire. The caller describes the last breath of his mother.

A revolution took place in Sudan in 2019 that resulted in thousands of innocent protestors being killed in Khartoum and the military dictator Al-Bashir eventually standing down from power. A transactional government is now in place until democratic elections are held in 3 years time.
StreetMic made a WhatsApp telephone call to Sudan, to have an engaging conversation with the Chair of the Sudanese Community Information Centre in London. He was on a four week trip to Sudanese capital in Khartoum. He was able to give an accurate description on, how is life in Sudan post revolution?
