Over the past decade, Martin Refalo has spent most of his time working as a fitness coach and studying at university. Martin has a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and will very soon have a PhD in Exercise Science. This academic journey highlights Martin’s commitment to learning, love for self-development, passion for sharing knowledge with the wider community, and eagerness to make original contributions to knowledge through research. Whilst studying, Martin has published multiple academic papers and have also taught human and exercise physiology at university-level. Martin has managed a large workload, varying from part time to full time over the past decade, spending many hours working with clients in-person on the gym floor, and upskilling the next generation of personal trainers and exercise scientists. Martin also conducts national and international educational seminars on a regular basis and has presented at conferences in Spain, Singapore, and Bangkok. Martin takes a large degree of responsibility in his role as a coach and Education Manager at JPS Health & Fitness and employs the scientific method to inform his practice and guide decision making.

Jack Radford-Smith is the co-founder of The Bodybuilding Dietitians, as well as a physique athlete, dietitian professional and passionate coach. Jack has a number of qualifications in the health and fitness industry, including a Master of Dietetics and Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences from the University of Queensland, in addition to a Certificate III and IV in Fitness. Jack recently obtained his professional status in natural bodybuilding by winning the overall national title at the ICN Australian championships.

Eric is a Research Fellow at the Sports Performance Research Institute New Zealand, focusing on strength and conditioning, sports physiology, and nutrition. He specializes in physique and strength sports, emphasizing holistic, long-term athletic careers. Eric mentors Masters and PhD students and guest lectures on resistance training and sports nutrition. As a coach and cofounder of 3D Muscle Journey, he trains drug-free strength and physique competitors and serves as the scientific advisor. Eric has competed in drug-free strength sports and bodybuilding since 2006, has authored books on nutrition and training and is a cofounder and research reviewer for Monthly Applications in Strength Sport. Eric holds a BS in fitness and wellness, an MS in exercise science, and an MPhil and PhD from AUT in sports nutrition and strength and conditioning.

Mack is a Sport and Exercise Nutritionist that has been working with Fortitude Nutrition Coaching for about 5 years. He has a Masters Degree in Sports Nutrition with published research investigating nutrition in surfers, more specifically Low Energy Availability. Mack's main objective as a nutrition professional is to help people enjoy life more by using food as a supportive tool.
Whilst typical nutrition-related goals such as fat loss can be a part of that, it always falls under an overarching umbrella of life enhancement. Because of this, lesser-discussed themes such as striving to be flexible, relaxed, competent, and confident with eating re-occur frequently. Mack has Lately been shifting more towards working with surfing athletes as he enters the next phase of his nutrition career.

An absolute juggernaut in the natural bodybuilding space, Brandon Kempter joins us for episode 1 of the strength connect podcast.
Brandon is the founder of BK conditioning and a lifetime natural bodybuilder. He holds an MSc degree in Sports Nutrition Science and has competed himself since a teen, earning his pro card in 2016.
