Strong Ties Podcast

Like every other NBA podcast we went through some recent offseason NBA stuff but.. can anything even compare to 2019?

Maybe. For now, we look ahead to 2023, we assess the offseason and we dive into new ventures, up until opening night.

MICO is foaming about his boy getting his 4th ring and his FIRST Finals MVP! So much so, he unplugged his mic the first 5 minutes. We legit recorded 46.5 in the beginning of the pod and he just went and slipped up after being too excited.. amateur.

Enjoy, episode 46, dedicated to the 2023 NBA Champions: The Golden State Warriors.

Breaking news for the first time ever live on The Green Box! That was a legit core memory y'all were just a part of when Nick announces the Mavs' deal with the Rockets.

We speak on the Warriors taking a 3-2 lead heading into Game 6 and how that game will shake up, with Andrew Wiggins stepping up as the second best player on the Warriors behind the lights-out shooting of the best player in the series, Steph Curry (save for Game 5 lol).

We bring back Smokin' it or Passin' It and a NEW "old" segment called Flip The Script and close it out with a Top 5 draft as per usual. Stick around to the end to see how locked in we really are to The Green Box!

HE'S BEEN A GUEST TWICE? THREE TIMES?

HE'S A FOREVER GUEST. HE'S A NEW CO-HOST.

SHOUTOUT NICK TOK MAN - EPISODE 44.. TO NEW BEGINNINGS

A little late with the video, promise I (Ron) will be better when editing. Mans are forgetful not gonna lie.

Anyways, this week the boys prove to be mismatches when both of their conference finals picks are opposites and.. their draft picks too!

WE BACK

Took a week off and we back at it, both the boys were busy.

Had to give a proper shoutout on our way back into the game, that's just respect. Exciting time for us basketball fans as it was the opening weekend of the NBA Playoffs! .. and as Ron mentioned OBL Provincials weekend is also coming up. GET TO IT!

It was good while it lasted..

Episode 40. Tap in!

Introducing our first distinguished guest, Nick Fazio, content creator extraordinaire with a good taste in hats as he joins the crew this week.

The trio talk about Nick's sports background, current projects and a hilarious story on how he and co-host Mico bonded over heartbreak and an even MORE hilarious story of possibly the greatest Canadian Heritage Moment (exaggerating) in history being shit on.

They get into some MVP talk and if Nick is Smokin' It or Passin' It and close out with a Top 5 Marvel Movies draft.. EPISODE 39, TAP IN

Guess who's back? Brady.

We are also back, but the GOAT deserves the honour. We spoke a little about Brady running it back and where life took us on our two-week hiatus which opens up the room for us running it back as well.

The crazy month the NBA has had, with 50-pt game after 50-pt game poses the question.. is unvaxxed Kyrie the best player in the game today? We start getting blunt with "Smokin' It or Passin' It?", the ROY race and The Best Dunk Contest we could put together. Tap In!!
