Strong Ties Podcast

The Cursed Episode! Why? Because it's clickbait. But this is episode 27 and for some reason 27 is a really significant number in our lives. From the 27-Club in the music community, to the significance of being the age 27 in the NBA to US, your hosts turning 27 in 2022! It's also Mico's champeeeeeezy next year so that's kind of a big deal.

We spoke about Meta and the Metaverse and if life is a simulation. And it is. Isn't it?

As far as basketball talk, we talk injuries and if THEY are a part of the simulation lol, the Blazers and Ben Simmons, Steph Curry breaking records and we introduce a new game; "Are You Smoking It Or Passing It?"

Lastly, we close out on a holiday note and draft our top 5 Christmas movies! Enjoy Episode 27 and watch all the movies we drafted!

This week we attacked the most hard hitting topics of the holiday season. Have we started holiday shopping? Do we even partake in the holiday sales like Black Friday and Boxing Day? We have some funny stories for y'all about those "shopping" days, that's for sure.

We also talk about the motha fuckinnn streakin' PHX Suns, the Raptors (duh) and injuries plaguing the league :( Also, Steph's hip were on a serious schedule so his ankles could be too.

This week the boys were SUPPOSED to have a guest. But also did zero work to obtain one. So instead, like we mentioned at the end of this episode we went the whole episode without taking a single break.. which to be hinest wasn't that bad.

We spoke about what makes a sandwich a sandwich, what the purpose of our lives are, we spoke a lot of about existential shit which always ets waaaay too deep especially when you're baked lmao. We really lost our train of thought a couple times, which again, is understandable since we were baked. We ended with a Look Ahead into the NBA week, a couple of other NBA news, more specifically the Phoenix Suns and their 12-game win streak. Lastly we drafted our Top 5 Items from our childhood... or in Mico's case.. Highschool? Man said 2k. Smh.

We spoke about the recently debated NBA top 75 list, just briefly and of course spoke about the Raptors hot start to the season and two other teams we are either impressed or unimpressed by. Hope y'all enjoy episode 22!

Mico really does exposes his secrets. He lumps it in with Ron but Ron isn't calling his stories secrets hahahaha. Lowkey was dying when the man said "theres our secrets y'all" or something along those lines. We tackle the elephant in the room, getting high and how it's not really an elephant stilllllll.

We also recap the first week of the NBA szn, of course being homers we had to big up the boy Scottie Barnes who's playing exactly how RON expected. We also touch on early season MVP winner, super early actually and just news around the league.

*🚨 NEW MERCH ALERT 🚨*

https://creatingstrongties.bigcartel.com/

The Green Box duo run down how pre=Turkeyball went, the growth they have seen in the team and also show how baked they are by both losing their train of thought at one point. It comes with the territory.

They continue their NBA Power rankings going through teams ranked 11-19 with Ron posing a question for each team. Long winded basketball segment but it's well worth it, we even get into some fantasy talk. Not that fantasy. Pause.
