Strong Ties Podcast

*🚨 NEW MERCH ALERT 🚨*

https://creatingstrongties.bigcartel.com/

If you didn't know, Mico and Ron are two Filipino guys, so with that being said, the goal in the perspective of our parents was to always be nurses, lawyers, doctors, accountant, something where we finish school and pursue that degree in the world. Very cut and dry.

However, both your hosts chose different paths and they speak about their experience in doing so. It's shout out Jeremy Lin for episode 17, therefore it's shoutout Asian athletes in sports. The boys also get into genetics quickly and how each culture and race has specific traits that allow them to excel in not only sports but certain aspects of life.

Lastly, they end off with some power ranking talk. Going through all 30 teams would be tooooo time consuming so instead the duo rank teams 20-30 in the standings. However, just ranking the teams is ALSO boring so Ron poses one question for every team as a topic of discussion and from there is how we developed our power rankings and also got to speak about certain players (ahem, Jalen Green).

The boys spoke briefly about this week's poll results and if they voted (answer is obviously yes), they also spoke about their best and worst job experiences. Mico is lowkey a thief in the night and he single handedly put a certain business out of commission because he's a super sav.

In the second half of the podcast they brought it back to basketball and drafted the top 3 kicks to hoop in on the court and followed that up with the importance in strengthening your feet and ankles for basketball and did a versus between 2 HOF-caliber point guards.

Shoutout episode 15 cause Ron and Mico went for their longest segment without a break. BIG.

This week they spoke about their experience at the most recent Labour Day Tournament, they also took a trip down memory lane and relived some of their most memorable moments from their childhood/teenagehood(?). They spoke on championship runs, hotel stories, tournament memories and even injuries. The first 30 minutes of this podcast was a roller coaster for sure.

Second half, they rounded out their top 10 series with top 10 NBA Frontcourt players. Even though they both mentioned to each other off the pod that it would be easy, it was hard. Lists were very different and very much the same at the same damn time. Enjoy! EPISODE 15!

14th times the charm! According to Mico at least. This week the boys switched it up and let Mico lead the podcast as well as host an interview with the Founder of CST and the Stron Ties Podcast Network. They spoke about school, basketball and Ron's other endeavours in life and for Mico's first time interviewing someone like that, he did pretty fuckin' amazing.

They then dove into Top 10 Wing Players in the NBA based on their performance for the last season as a close out and Mico's "hate" for KD as super apparent at this point. We aren't analysts so everything is subjective, hell, even the categorization of what makes a "wing" player is subjective. Hope you all enjoy!

What's going on fam! This week the bros switched it up and Ron led the podcast as though he was interviewing Mico.. reason being is because y'all don't REALLY know Mico2Fit and I think it's time we get to know the man. This was also a good practice for Ron, brushing up on his interview skills and listening skills. I need practice (- Ron). But not bad for the first time, for both the boys!

To close out the podcast, the two went ahead and listed their Top 15 Backcourt players in the NBA right now based on their performance from last season. The Game is sooooo subjective it's almost impossible to decide who qualifies as a backcourt player, so don't get too crazy on the boys haha. Hopefully, you enjoy this episode and hit us back with any comments on ANYTHING we spoke about this episode.

Listen, before we get to what this podcast is about. Mico picked SABONIS, fam.

Okay, so we started with looking back at what and where we were at the beginning of the pandemic back in March 2020. We spoke about our mindset during that time of our life and how it's helped shape us today. We also touched on some sensitive topics, not INTELLIGIBLY but we are trying. We aren't perfect but we are trying to raise awareness and work on learning more about the world ourselves.

Lastly, we did a Under 25 NBA Draft where there were some crazy picks to say the least.. Ron came ready again, we still looking for Mico.

This week the boys get on board with Shakira and agree that the hips don’t lie! They speak on mobility practices that need to be improved in everybody, how technology and our way of life shape our bodies and the evolution of their fitness journey in terms of incorporating mobility.

After the break they debate who had the best offseason in the NBA so far, which teams they are most excited for and of course, the TRUTH, Scottie Barnes and his debut performance along with Malachi Flynn’s growth. Lastly, Jan and Ron actually get into a very heated and difficult Versus segment, debating which Shooting Guard they would rather start their franchise with.

Stay tuned for The Strong Ties Podcast comeback with Ron and Khei releasing Friday morning as well the C$T Hat Drop this weekend, available for preorder through our website!

It's all in the title! Late upload, as usual, but Ron went rogue and went to the cottage for a week. We'll be back this Saturday.. most likely..

The boys speak about why confidence is key, not giving a fuck, Ben Simmons shooting and the importance of evolving your life. But all that is ballywho unless you listen to the WHOLE podcast and hear our special guest in the background. Why isn't he officially on the pod? Cause we already had this half recorded lmao. Enjoy fam!
