On February 5, an armed citizen saved an Upper Darby police officer who was under assault and encircled by a mob of onlookers.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said “there is no doubt they would have attacked” the officer without the armed citizen’s intervention.

According to Philly.com, the officer was breaking up a fight between two Upper Darby High School students–after school had let out for the day–and one of the students jumped the officer. Superintendent Chitwood said, “As he breaks up the fight, he takes one kid and then the other jumps [on] him. Now he’s fighting two of them and he’s calling for an assist officer at the same time.

FBI officials announced on Tuesday, January 26th that Milwaukee resident Samy Mohammed Hamzeh, 23, has been charged with possessing machine guns and a silencer.

According to the criminal complaint, Hamzeh had been under investigation since September 2015. The investigation revealed that, in October 2015, Hamzeh planned to travel to Jordan, enter the West Bank, and conduct an attack on Israeli soldiers and citizens living in the West Bank. Hamzeh later abandoned those plans and began to focus on conducting an attack in the United States.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS — Two teens jumped class to go home invading. The house they broke into was ready. This is going to be a short, tragic tale because it ends with a dead teenage in the driveway. That said, these kids made an adult decision — a dumb adult decision — to break into a person’s home.

According to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the dead student’s school was placed on lockdown due to a “nearby situation” but, according to that news source, the school was no where near the property where the lawful shooting occurred.

No further details were reported to the news. Just another homeowner who isn’t going to lay down while two people threaten himself and his property.

Concerned shoppers worried about spending days snowed indoors have hit grocery stores hard leaving empty shelves in their wake, hours before a massive snowstorm is due for the northeastern United States.

A few inches of snow have already piled up in places like Washington DC causing havoc, but forecasters predict Winter Storm Jonas could be a “historic storm” that will bring 50 to 60mph winds and more than two feet of additional snow.

“We will have blizzard conditions expected. Now already blizzard watches in effect for DC and Baltimore. Gusts are expected for pretty much mid-Atlantic up to the northeast,” Weather.com reports. “Saturday is to be an all snow event up and down I-95, at least the northeastern branch of it.”
