On this weekend's episode - Chelsea + Ten recap their first ever mediumship live event. They talk about what it's like channeling together, the highlights of their event, what it's like to be a psychic medium + how burnout they were after channeling for a whole hour!

Ten then dives into Easter and the pagan holiday Ostara. The story of Easter if eerily similar to other Roman Pagan divinities such as Mithras. We talk about other beliefs systems, how Christian holidays stem from some of the pagan holidays and where did this idea of a bunny rabbit on Easter actually come from?

On this episode of Styx + Bones by Evoking with Chelsea + Ten we kick it off by talking about one of our favorite myths and beings in Greek mythology and Hellenic Paganism - AN ICON - MEDUSA!!

We all know Medusa today for her ROMAN re-telling but we wanted to go over her original Greek mythology by Homer and then we touch upon her Roman re-telling that comes nearly 800 years later by the Roman author Ovid. No matter what story you subscribe to we can all agree that Medusa is iconic, a legend and who doesn't want the power to turn men into stone?

We then end this episode with our own personal stories of bad psychic we went too, some red flags to look for in readers + how having a code of ethics is important when professionally reading!

Since we've been talking about the scariest spiritual experiences we've ever had we decided to talk today about protection, some of our funniest encounters with spirits + closed practices! Tens cats also make an appearance.

We touch upon spiritual protection in ancient times such as the evil eye and more and how we can use it today!

Then of course we get up on our soapbox and talk about how to decolonize your spiritual practice and what we have seen being taken from native peoples and other belief systems such as white sage and decolonizing your yoga practice!

White sage is a CLOSED PRACTICE to indigenous peoples and we shouldn't be using it.
